USA June 2011 SAT: MATHEMATICS Discussion Thread

@ Lullies

40 is correct.

@Svr - It was like
What is twice the number of 5 away from m?
Lol idk something like that.

yes that one what was the answer for that?

@Decrescendo You should get around 700-710 depending on the curve.

I thought it was 2(m-5).

guys, why was the ratio one 2:3?
wasnt the question something like… if 4/12 were neglected, what was the ratio of nonneglected to neglected?

ratio of nonneglected: 8/12 –> 2/3
ratio of neglected: 4/12 –> 1/3

non:neg
(2/3) : (1/3)
6:3
3:1 <– final answer?

and … embarrassingly what was #2 that had the circle +2 inches, what is the radius?
(The circumference of a circle plus 2 inches has what radius? or something…)

I put that at first then put (2m-5)^2

@Svr I think it was 2(m-5)?
The question asked what is 2 times 5 subtracted from m

@trickful -

the ratio answer was 2:1 because 16 were nonneg and 8 were neglected

Would 25 work?

does anyone know what the grid-in question was with 9 as an answer?

25 would not work because 75 is a multiple of 3.

aw
i read the question wrong sigh…

Does anyone know what my score for each would be? Math:MC is -2 with 1 ommit and -3 grid ins. Reading: -9. Writing -4 with 8 essay

I’m fairly sure that the only thing i missed was the multiple of 3 grid-in -.- there goes my 800 :(

I put 2(m-5), too.

I know I got those graphing and function questions wrong.

yo yo what was the question with 42 as an answer?? gridin

Hey guys, for the absolute value graph one where it shows the graph, can anyone prove the (4,-6) cannot be it one? Cuz I remember thinking when I was taking the test that no y-value could be negative, but there where two negative answer choices, and then I saw that the answer choice (0,-3) was the only one that was not already graphed, so I placed it as my answer. Help?

Hey for the question with all the ratios that was like

48/24; x/4; y/12; z/4.5

was the answer 41? (because it’s 8+24+9)

48+8+9…sorry
