u dont need a cover sheet (form 6?) if u applied online i think

Is anyone else applying to Viterbi? ;O

ShooShuShoeShou

Awesome, so I can drop French and save my GPA. :) You think taking 14 credits instead of my usual 17 this semester would hurt my chances? I already have 48 credits, so at the end of spring I'd end up with 62...

On that note, I only have to complete a language at USC.. I finished all my other requirements (except for my major of course :))

zircushio-

I'm not sure if they would care so much about taking 3 less units but I can't imagine it would be a huge deal. Also since you'd be transferring in as a junior, you might not even get a spring grade request so they might not see your courses (or your W for that matter) until you actually get accepted (if you do)

that is a good point, i was actually thinking of that last night, like..what if they accept me without asking for spring grade request.. :)

i mean, if i take 14 credits and get straight A's, i end up with a 3.71 GPA...if i take that french class and get an A, i end up with a 3.72. its not that big of a deal IMO.

but i guess we can all agree that getting 1 W is better than a potential B or C in class?

Hey guys, I'm new to this, but I've read so many of your posts that I feel like I know you all. Anyways, I'm a sophomore in college (4-yr private university in Cali) and I applied to transfer admission to USC as a religion major. I have a 3.87 college gpa, and a 3.93 USC transfer gpa. I have been SO stressed lately about my classes this semester. So, though I'd throw that out there and join the group. I really hope we all get in and I will definitely have questions to ask y'all; you are all so informed!

welcome to the club Cap

A religion major with a 3.93 GPA.. i'm sure you'll get in. :D

How many credits is everyone taking this semester?

I'm taking 25 and it's rough, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Worse off in the short run, better off in the long run :)

winter- 8 units
spring- 13 units

and yeah captainrodeo, you seem like you have a great chance of getting accepted!!

Thanks zircushio. A lot of you guys have really hard majors and are applying the the Marshall School! That is a great school. Ya, I am thinking about a double major in religion and history, but I just put myself as a religion major, because I heard whatever college you get accepted into, you can pick up majors within that college no problem.

So we all start hearing by April huh?

Shwayzeee, you are crazy. 25 units!!! I guess that it is better off in the long run... What is your major again?

Does specific major really make that much a difference on acceptance?

Molamann, to an extent, yes. Although acceptance is contingent upon the applicant as an individual, there are some major that are "harder" to get into. For example, a Business major applying the the Marshall school, would be probably more difficult than let's say a Religion major for the College of Arts and Sciences. The requirements are not only different (advance math classes vs. certain literature courses), but also they may be looking for higher GPAs. This, is just what I think, though I may be wrong. There is nothing for you to worry about; we all sent in our apps and now we just get to wait.

Is it possible for me to log into OASIS if I applied?

Also, when mailing transcripts, do we have to attach those transcript forms? What about for the high school transcripts?

Archieg, yes, I am sure that you can log in. Although I did not go directly to OASIS, I did a application status check where it said that my Part I application was not properly paid for (I called the admission office and they told me to disregard it because their system was down), but anyways, when I clicked to "fix" the Part I app "problem" it took me to OASIS, which makes me think that you should be able to log on. If you are just checking you app status, simply log in.

I am fairly certain that you can send your transcripts via "docufide.com"; I am fairly certain they need not be faxed, but it is more expedient. I did my high school transcript via docufide, but for my college one I will either mail or fax it with the forms that are downloadable on the USC website in PDF format.

archieg
I think you should attach those personalized forms when mailing or faxing your transcripts. They have barcodes which will expedite the process.

Captainrodeo
Did you try to log in the OASIS? I tried to creat an account, but it kept saying my USCID and birthdate could not be found.

What is the address I send the transcripts to, though?

Sorry for the nonstop barrage of questions guys.. lol I appreciate the help ALOT.

CaptainRodeo, crazy? nah im shwayzeee! :p

I'm currently on the pre-biz track at my current school but applying for sppd.

Jellyfish08, I actually went through the "new user" route and then they email you for confirmation, then you can log in... hope that helps

jellyfish, I did not try to log in yet, where do I go to create an account?

haha, sppd?
