USC 2009 transfer thread

Well, it was a late night of studying. Good morning all!

captain rodeo, i'm right there with you. literally though hahaha ucr cram time =(

it seems like they weed out all the A's from B's in the last 2-3 weeks of the quarter. it sucks, i study all day and i still feel like there's so much left to do at the end of the night. that's not a good feeling!! but good luck during finals don't let up!

You guys will do great! Just give yourself some motivation. The first time I went to my school's library, I etched USC '09 into the table I was working at. Since then, whenever I use the library to study for midterms/finals or do homework, I sit at that same table. It keeps me focused on my goal for the future :D

oh, but vandalism is bad :D

Hahahaha- that is SO funny dude. I downloaded the Tribute to Troy song and blast it when I need motivation.

haha, you guys are awesome.

My only motivation is my beer insulating SC jersey that I use on the weekends to wind down. :)

wait... GreNerd... juniors find out in march? =0

on that note, my room is my motivation. i have it decked out in USC blankets, jerseys, tshirts, hoodys, pants, carpet :P i think i'm pushing my luck and only making a rejection that much tragic. but on the bright side, last semester i rocked my semester with straight A's in 300+ courses :D

juniors don't find out in March. Late April is pushing it, more like May.

i still havent turned in my fafsa. if i get into usc will i still receive that money even though i didnt turn in on time?

If I remember correctly last year the bulk of decisions came out in May-June.

hey everyone,
im a current trasnfer applicant to marshall (1st) and clas ECON (2nd). i have a 3.64 with 54 units completed. i went to asu out of highschool now attend Moorpark college. i completed all of the marshall pre req. my current gpa is 3.64 and have A's in BOTH ECON's, ENG. lit, and B in business calc and am currently in bus calc 2. ? i was already told i would be getting a spring grade request.

just wondering what you guys think my chances are.

how do you know they want a spring grade request already?

because i alreayd met with my admissions counselor and they said they have t9o wait to see how i do in my last pre req business calc. 2

Does anyone know how to calculate your transferable GPA? I know an A counts as a 4.0 but how do a plus and minus factor in? Like is an A- a 3.7, B+ 3.5, and so on?

I meant soon as in 2 months from now. Sorry everyone. May-ish is Junior time. As for the GPA calculation, Marty. Just google GPA calculator and enter in grades. I use it all the time. Time to write my Anthro paper...hopefully if I do well it will bring me to a full A in the class. Assuming all else goes as planned, I might see 4.0 in my horizonnnnn :D
Good Luck with work everyone!

So- I had a bio test today, I think I got every question right, which is cool- BUT, I had a math test after, and I don't think it went so well. My teacher doesn't give partial credit for work, only full credit or no credit for the right answer! The class doesn't even transfer to USC,- it an algebra buffer class for a minimum requirement (math is not my forte) but my teacher is a d*ck and decides to make it more difficult than need be- but, I'm so worried about it and would hate if a bad grade in that "easy" class doomed me for USC when I get A's in other really tough classes!!

Sorry, needed to rant, you guys are my support group. Oh, and GreNerd- that is Awesome!

I hated algebra. I swear, it was the worst thing ever. Statistics was awesome though. I actually kinda liked it.

Ya, I have taken ap stats, and did math studies (ib) in high school, which are technically harder than basic algebra, and I found them easier than this class

How many classes are you guys taking for Spring semester/quarter? According to stats for transfer students at USC 2008, lots of juniors got a Spring Grade Request. I thought only sophomores do...huhm...
