uscplease777- you are not crazy for doing the leadership workshop. In speaking with usc admin reps, thats the kind of stuff they look for. It's not all about grades (well a good portion is, but), they want to see the roles you take on outside of the class, either in school organizations, work or service within your community. Just keep it up.

thanks madsc11! that actually made me feel a lot better hahaha, i swear this whole admissions process is designed to make all their applicants second-guess themselves 24/7 =(

after i do it, should i send them a letter describing my experiences and etc? or how should i let them know that i participated?

Hey all, I just got back from hand-delivering some things to USC. For those of you who have never been - the campus is awesome. The first thing I noticed is how serene everything is. The campus is really flat and open with lots of noise-insulating grass, so everything is pretty quiet, although it's quite busy. All you can hear is the birds chirping. And all you can see is the ladies. ;)

Also, the lady at admissions was so kind and helpful. Just thought I'd share my positive experience.

are you guys including AP units you took during high school in your unit count??

I noticed some of you are gaining additional regarding your admissions through USC OASIS but I'm wondering how you got your log-in ID and password. I have my USC ID number but it seems like the myUSC portal is designed in a way so that you can only create and ID if you're a current student.

register through this link:

https://afa.usc.edu/AFA/pages/register.jsf

molamann, in case it doesnt work, you can send an email through the contact us tab. It will gice you an option, as far as what you need help in, and you need to give them your id #. They will fix it for you over night. I had the same problem. Hope that helps.

uscplease777- did you included info on your leadership workshop anywhere on you app?

no, because i signed up for it after i submitted my application. what should i do?

@aam90, madsc11

Thank you, I appreciate the help.

i'm kinda surprised no one on the list has applied for Viterbi yet

uscplease777: I'd send them a letter describing the activity once you get your next set of grades. That way you can spontaneously show them your grades and couple it with your devotion of a leadership position.

Yah, that is weird...where are all the engineers??

grey_syntactics: I visit the campus about every 2 weeks because a lot of my good friends are there. I seriously fall more in love with the place each time I visit. You described it perfectly.

the lucky ones get to see it. i'm 3000 miles away. :(

For those of you who have never seen the campus a large set of photos has been posted on Facebook. If you click on the image it will appear bigger on your computer screen.

Go to Facebook. Check on groups. The SC facebook group is: USC Facebook Class of 2013. It is the one with the large cardinal logo on the right side. At the bottom of the posts is the collection of photos.

There are comments by seniors who have recently visited the campus for Explore. You might find these impressions helpful.

thank you GreNerd! thats a really good idea!
