i applied to viterbi. so thank you. i'm not expecting to hear back that early cause i'm applying as a rising sophomore. probably get a spring grade request

I'm sure this question has been asked before but how is it that the USC transfer thread is so active compared to other school threads in which I'm sure has about equal amount of applicants? Or does USC actually have that much more applicants?

because USC is the better than every other school. ;) but um, i think we have a more dedicated student/transfer base than other schools. yes there might be as equal if not more transfers for other schools, but not nearly the same amount of curiosity for those schools.

on another note, is anyones Oasis Status for application,

"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th."

seems to me like something seems fishy... :P

That's a freshman status. Just a glitch in the system. Mine was way messed up in the beginning.

yeah if a transfer status showed that someone from the admissions office told me it was a mistake. But on the other hand, i've called three times about when the earliest applicants could hear would be and havee gotten three different answers..so their reliability is also in question. haha. but if you guys get in..are you going for sure?? regardless of financial aid packages and what not??

i heard some guy with EFC 0 got accepted but had been given 17,000 dollars in loans....

ouchhhhhhh

Wow, that seems really unreasonable. I had thought USC was known for great financial aid?

But you have to have a need for it.

EFC is a FAFSA-generated number. That person probably got screwed by the CSS PROFILE. Owie!

wow that is horrible.

did he end up going to USC?

looks like he still went, but 17k in loans?! especially with an EFC of 0? wow...

i feel like there must have been a mistake somewhere down the line lol

I have enough confidence in the school and myself to attend no matter the aid given.

I trust USC's great financial aid program. Also, everyone I know thinks I belong at USC. This includes my girlfriend, my mom, all of my friends and cousins, and my co-workers (I work at USC). My rejection is going to be so tragic. LOL. :(

Grey, you work at USC? what do you do?

I'm an adcom MWHAHAHA!

haha, just kidding. Administration in the Ophthalmology department.

okay i am so confused with this fafsa stuff. I know USC is asking for my tax return and my parents. I have never applied for financial aid before and I was wondering do I have to send every single page? My parents income tax return is like 60 pages long, I really haven't a clue what to send over.

I'm gald I don't have to go through all that Financial Aid stuff for applications.

Makebank24why didn't you have to go through the fafsa stuff??

and also pootie562: what i did was just send in the first page and the attached schedules (they are labeled schedules at the top) and then my parents' W2 forms and that was it.

isn't like..if you work at USC you could go there for free or something?? and wouldn't help you for application?? because in high school this person with a 3.0 or 3.2 or something got in because their dad worked there.
