It would be great to give and take some feedback on SCA stuff. I’ll send you a message.

Are you a transfer student? And what program are you applying for?

In any case, you have shot. My best advice to you and anyone else is to just let admissions know why you deserve to get in. If you don’t think your gpa is an accurate reflection of your academic history, then let them know that and why. Bottom line- if you don’t think you deserve to get in, admissions will probably agree. But if you think you do, do what it takes to make admissions believe in you as much as you do. :)

USC being my first choice, I am also applying to Long Island University (anyone know much about it?) and another small private school in New York.

Hello I will also be applying to transfer from a community college in California but im not sure if i have a chance…

Major: Psychology
By spring I should be done with all prereq and general Ed. I only have 3rd level foreign language left.
My Gpa will end up around 3.3 and I wil have 64 transferable units.

I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I took a couple of classes that according to the Articulation Agreement / History will transfer to USC. The problem is that they do not satisfy any of the Categories I-V. would they count towards the 30 unit minimum requirement to transfer? I am still waiting for a reply from a transfer counselor. Thanks.

I also applied with a 3.37 (entered with a 3.47)gpa as a Psychology major and got admitted. However, I transferred from a Cal State. My only recommendation is to do GREAT on your essay and have a lot things to put down under activities (community service, clubs, orgs, etc)

Even if you take a class that does not satisfy one of the categories, you should still read through the rest of the articulation agreement since there is a section that has a list of all courses that transfer to USC.

Hey yeah by the time I apply, I will have 13 transferrable credits with at least a GPA of a 3.69 from my freshman year of highschool. my highschool grades were decent around a 3.2 unweighted GPA. I really want to get into USC!

@sportslover
I checked the articulation agreements/histories and my classes will transfer in to USC. My only concern would be that they would not count towards the 30 unit minimum to transfer since the classes I took do not satisfy Cat I-V. I’m looking at only having 29 units by the end of Spring 11 without those extra classes. One damn unit lol.

I was able to register for transfer day on the 12th yesterday. When I logged in yesterday it displayed 24 spots available for reservation. Today it is displaying 12 spots available. This is the direct link to reserve your spot after you log in.

relin, there is no minimum number of units to transfer. The number of units you have only impacts whether they primarily consider your high school record or your college record. (And all applicants, please remember they use the word “primarily,” which means they will look at your complete record…)
