<p>my first choice is (accounting)the marshall school of business, 2nd choice is economics major :).</p>
<p>My recommendations will most likely be from my Accounting teacher and my Economics teacher. They both love me, and yes I am currently a sophomore. What else could I do to increase my shot at Marshall?</p>

<p>@funny - my stats were pretty bad. uw gpa was like 3.3, w was 3.9. a lot of AP credit though… enough to leave me 1 class away from an associate’s at my cc. 
I know my stats are relatively low for college confidential, but I did get into NYU’s film school and other really good schools so my portfolio was probably not good enough either.</p>

<p>Does USC have rolling admissions for transfers or do they wait till the deadline to look at everyones application? My gpa is a 3.36 but I’m confident I can boost it up to a 4.0 this semester (which will total my cum gpa to a 3.48). So I’m wondering if I should apply as early as possible or wait till the end of this semester when my grades come in?</p>

<p>Okay, I have a question for everyone -</p>
<p>USC says that if you have a minimum of 30 credits, they will focus primarily on your college record. Do those 30 credits include the units that USC awards for AP exams? According to USC’s AP policy, I will have 24 units. That combined with the 13 credits I’ll have after this semester equals 37. If they don’t count the AP units, then I guess I’ll be taking 17 credits next semester. :P</p>
<p>You DO NOT need 30 units when you apply, you need 30 units by the Spring semester following your application, meaning you could technically apply with 0 units, and take a 30 unit spring semester :p</p>

I go to College of william and mary. I’m a freshmen this year.
I thought I would like this school, apparently, I don’t. So, I decided to trasnfer to USC as a sophomore which was my ultimate dream school (where I got rejected last year). My high school stat was 3.8 GPA uw, and 2000 SAT. plus, I’m planning to get 3.6-3.7 gpa at freshmen year. I am trying to apply as Marshall or Econ.
I don’t know if they will give me advantage to be in college of william and mary, because this school is so hard to get gpa. Anyways, chance me please ! :)</p>

<p>@dreamupsided0wn: I emailed a counselor at USC asking about AP grades last week! She basically told me that they DO add your AP credits plus your college credits. For example, I am currently 20 credits away from the 64 I need to be a junior next year but since I have 4 AP credits, I only need to take 16 more units. I hope this helps! :)</p>
<p>I was looking at the articulation agreements for CSU… If some of the GE’s I took at my school ARE considered transferrable but do not fall under USC’s GE Categories, then where do those units go? Are they considered electives?</p>
<p>For example I’ve taken HSCI 231, PSY 150, PSY 250 none of which have anything to do with my intended major and aren’t under any GE categories. </p>

<p>@Granjota - your question is one I’ve seen on here a lot… to be honest, no one really knows if it’s better to transfer from a CC or prestigious university. I think you have a better chance coming from a school like that because they know you’ll be able to handle the coursework.</p>

<p>@MEGUCT - I think you have a decent chance. If you look on the 2nd or 3rd page of this thread, a qualified source (?) said that as long as your GPA is at least 3.5 anything higher only increases your chance by a little bit. I think that you declare a minor after you get accepted, but you should mention your future plans if you think it’ll help your case. For example, if you were majoring in Neuroscience and planned on minoring in Fine Art you should definitely include that because it’s a testament to how diverse your interests are.</p>
