USC Admissions

Has anyone of you guys received an email from USC telling you that they have reviewed your application preliminarily and are writing to request additional documents in order to take final action? I’m so confused that they asked me to send my midyear report again EVEN IF I believe that I have already sent it to them. What’s the purpose of this action? Btw I submitted my application before Dec 1 for scholarship (but didn’t get one) and I’m an international student

They don’t have it, send it, it’s that simple.

Are you checking the docs required on your usc account to be sure they are all checked off? Either way, they need your mid year report.

Yeah my docs are all received and my midyear report has been received on Jan 18. Anyway I sent it again last Friday.

Ya, I agree it doesn’t make much sense. Glad you resent it.

And the email even said “It is important that you use either the online or postal process noted above, even if you believe your grades have already been sent to us.” SOO CONFUSED

Well the good news is they know who you are and are looking at your file.

Yeah lol, and thanks for your reply!

So does it mean that if I don’t receive the email requiring additional information to be uploaded onto the portal then I am probably not going to get accepted? SOOO WORRIED:((

@crsmnj idk probably usc is just randomly sending out emails requiring additional docs. I don’t think we can infer any decisions regarding the email yet lol…

@AlexGip yea you’re right im just overthinking it… anyways thanks for replying and hopefully we can both get accepted!

I haven’t gotten this.

@UCtransfer951 I think they’re just periodically sending this email cuz I saw on the other discussion that someone received it earlier than me on Feb 15. And the target is probably randomly selected so there’s no need to worry

The email is absolutely no indication of anything. When they review files, they discover things didn’t upload properly or are missing - they are not asking for anything new, they are asking for the items they always requested, but for some reason aren’t in the system properly.
