USC DEADLINE... EEPS... am i screwed?

hey guys, i was supposed to send in my transcripts, recommendations and other forms in today. but the post office was not open! and will not be until monday. i've already submitted in my online application. will sending in the forms in a few days late be a problem? any real experience on this?

They should have been postmarked by Jan. 10, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. I doubt they'll base your admission on being one day late.

two days late... ><
and what if the post office doesn't postmark it on the day that i put it in the sending box?? oh gawd, that's going to be another couple of days..

maybe you could call? tell the admissions people some sob story? I've heard mixed things about late applications. Of course it is easy for me to say this, but try and stay calm. I would definitely send it in ASAP and then possibly call.

but it's just recommendations! and the other little forms... not the main application... :(

what college is it? there are different policies. I know UNC accepts school forms up to 10 days late. Check the admissions website for any info on that, but I would say that no, you're not screwed. As long as they have your application before the deadline, they'll open a file for you, and then other documents can go in once they arrive.

Take the envelope to a post office window and explain that you need it postmarked that same day. I believe that the clerk will be able to reassure you.

oh man i did the SAME thing!! i hope turning all those things in a wee bit late wont ruin my chances. its the only school i want to go to >.<
