I have been searching the forums for a while and can't seem to get a straightforward answer.

For merit scholarships the deadline is December 1st... does that mean ALL merit money is given to only those who apply by this date? Or is it only the top tier students and the big scholarships that are given out?

In other words to I need to finish my application by Friday to receive any merit money?

If the merit scholarship deadline is December first, why would you think that they would holdover some random ‘smaller’ awards for later?

Get your application in.

I’ve heard different stories from my friends and counselors. I was just double checking the information. But it makes sense.
Thanks very much for your reply and clarification! You’ve made it crystal clear :)

Nate,
SC has loyal friends and alumni. I have posted a long list of the merit scholarships on this board. Use the search feature and you will see there were over 600 major scholarships awarded by the university. That does not count those given by individual schools, private donors, memorial, ethnic and support groups.

Apply now…
