I called them and they said they have received one transcript (one of two college transcripts that I have sent out) and my part I and II apps. Not sure what that personal statement activity sheets are.

I was also told that high school transcripts can be sent unofficial for now, and that they are about 3 weeks behind in processing stuff. There are no more deadlines for anything, but if you want to be sure they have your stuff, call back then.

When will you hear from us?
All freshman applicants who submit a complete application by the deadline will be mailed an admission decision by April 1. All transfer applicants who submit a complete application by the deadline will be mailed an admission decision or a request for spring semester grades by June 1. USC does not have an early decision program. Only notification from the Office of Admission constitutes an offer of admission.

ok thanks laguna.
i submitted my fafsa jan 30th. css feb1. so i should wait 3 weeks?
bc that website updated thingy pretty much says it's received nothing tho i got emails confirming that fafsa was received by the federal student aid commision and a receipt for css. uuuuurgggh.

Hmm, when I go to my Application Status Check it says that I submitted my application but I need to submit a couple more things

When I click there, it says they received my undergrad app and all the personal statements, but says that my transcripts haven't been received.

The thing is, I sent the transcripts with the USC ID stickers that were sent in the mail, and they don't match what that Oasis web page says my ID is!

So I figured out why my application fee was inflated. The first set of bar codes I got had my name spelled wrong. I called and they said they would change it in the database, and that I could continue to use the same USC ID. So... I did.

When I called about the fee, the person I was on the phone with said the first person I talked to didn't apply the changes, and there were TWO separate files for me. She said she'd fix it and refund the extra money. However, today when I got home, there was a new sheet of bar codes with a NEW USC ID number. Now I'm worried because my financial aid documents, and letters of recommendation had my old ID.

Maybe USC and me are just not meant to be. meh.

einna- that suuuuucks. i'm a bit overwhlemed with classes starting up again and buying new texbooks but i will definately call tomorrow to make sure everything is squared off. if there;s one thing i've seen it's that it's NOT okay to just sit back and think everything is peachy-keen. Maybe some otentially disastrous mistake has happened and I won't know until I call. I;d rather do that then get flat out rejected tho. :P

They received one of my transcripts, which was sent from another country, without a barcode or student number on it at all. This is encouraging, as it means they have their sh** somewhat together.

I'm going to repeat my question from two days ago since I still don't have an answer--and I need to know this:

I filed my FAFSA back prior to January 22nd, and I'm having the Cal Grant thing sent by March, but I'm wondering if there are separate financial aid papers to be filed with USC.

I keep seeing things about this on the website, but didn't receive any in the application package.

Ooh la la. I got a letter on the mail saying that they have received my application and will begin reviewing it immediately. Scary! Reminding me= not necessary and freaky!
