Forum fight!

hahaha stop it! lol

ok time to vent.

i just got off the phone w/ a usc admissions rep because online it says i didn't submit my 2nd community college's transcripts. i sent everything in the SAME manila envelope (my 1st cc's transcripts AND my 2nd cc's transcripts AND the coversheet) and they still said they are missing them! how could they have not seen the other pieces of paper? those were $10 transcripts and all she said on the phone was 'well just send them again and call us to make sure we got 'em'!

ugh

what a pain in my asss

feuerwerke- it literally says did not submit [2nd college's name] transcripts?

well, woman.of.troy, according to my usc online app page it says:

"We have received your application, and it appears we need more information blah blah" so i clicked on the "Admission and Financial Aid Online Services" thing and read under "My Admissions Checklist" that they needed my 'College Transcripts Cover Sheet'. i turned in the coversheet, though!

what blows me is that when i called, it wasn't even the cover sheet that was missing! it was my 2nd college's transcripts.

i should just probably call back tomorrow and get somebody different on the phone. someone who is less confusing and sounds more like they know what they're doing...

From my understanding, aren't you suppose to have the college you attend mail the official transcripts to USC? You can't just hand USC official transcripts... well I never did. Makes sense because of transcripts tampering.

???

feuerwerke-
same thing happened to me. if you know for a fact that you sent it out, call in another 2-3 weeks. Same thing happened with my financial aid which took 2 weeks to process, just the Admissions office is really behind on this.

doryx-ideally, yes, but when I called up, they said it would be acceptable to submit them myself. if there were any reasonable suspicion of tampering, they will ask the applicant to resubmit, this time, straight from the school. but for now, it's good.

but yeah, it's really disorderly right now, just looking at the other people that post on here.

so you don't think that by waiting 2-3 weeks, it will affect any admissions person. like, "what? [said student] STILL hasn't sent their transcripts?"

I know, when I spoke to some rep/adm guy over the phone he was like, calm down, we will let you know after that period by email, most likely, if additional materials are still needed.

then later on when i checked, apparently they had just processed my submitted online app on 2/8/08 even tho i submitted it the 31st. and my fafsa and css where also looked at 2/8/08 accoridng to OASIS. so i'm giving it one more week for them to barely catch up to the transcripts which i personally turned in 2/1/08. check the dates, and be exact about the 2-3 weeks if you're really worried about it. i was, but i guess it makes sense when you add up dates. add 2 weeks to whenever you submitted.

so i went back on this thread and saw where all the other people had things 'missing' from their apps a few weeks ago.

how'd everything turn out for you guys (assuming a change)? did they final recieve your stuff and update your online page?

i'm one of those people. -_- and yes.

Mine still says missing College Transcript Cover Sheet as well, and I mailed mine over two weeks ago (with a tracking number so I know it arrived).......

It says that I'm missing my HS transcript and college transcript coversheet too. How does that make sense? I sent one envelope containing my sealed HS transcript, my college transcript and both cover sheets. I really think USCs system is messed up and we're all probably fine.

well drekwins, thank you. seriously, that was exactly my situation: everything in ONE envelope.

how could a person screw that up?

(nothing like ragging here on college confidential and knowing that someone else is in your same position to make a person feel better!) whew!

the thing to remember is that they HAVEN'T lost it. they just haven't got to it. :P

communications, maybe? just a W I L D guess, though.. seeing as how she says 'Annenberg for Communications'......

jk woman of troy, i'm just being a little snot. i just couldn't resist answering your question in a sarcastic manner.. :)

feuerwerke- fyi Annenberg has Journalism, Public Relations, Communications and Public Diplomacy as majors.

so...yeah.

maybe i misread applying to Annenberg FOR communications as opossed to simply stating USC Annenberg School for Communications. i thought maple was giving the school name. :P
