USC Marshall Internal Transfer

Hi I am an incoming transfer student into USC and my major is Economics. I was wondering what are the chances of transferring into marshall? I have a great community college gpa and have complete the writing requirement along with the 2 accounting course (which means I can take BUAD 305) This semester I am taking math 118 which I know is really important along with one business core class and 2 GE classes. I plan on applying during the spring semester when i take the required Econ class, another BUAD core class, writing 340, and another class. It has been my dream since I started college to go to Marshall and I want to know what I can do to accomplish it.

More specifically I want to know: Target G.PA, Any community service, clubs, or activities to increase my chances, and any other advice you can give me. If anyone has gone through this please let me know your results and what I can expect. Thank You!!

Hey there – I currently a student at USC Marshall who successfully made an internal transfer. I was originally placed in the Dornsife Economics Major. I earned a 3.925 GPA my first semester (That is 2 A+s, 1 A, 1 A-) – I took BUAD 310, ECON 351, and 2 GE courses. They claim you need a minimum of a 3.5 to transfer – to be competitive I would say 3.7+ (because a 3.7+ is all A-s). Best

Not OP but wow this is such a relief.I was told you have a very slim chance of internal transfer. I would come in with 53 credits, then take 16 in Fall 2015. Could I apply for Spring 2016?
