Congrats to all of you!!! Such great news for you and your parents!!! I see you are all in CA and a few internationals. Anyone get anything in the mail that is not in CA? We are in Florida…waiting…trying to be hopeful.

CT waiting here! now that i found my decision with the trick earlier today (lol) im hoping for something tomorrow or thursday. i hope the snow doesnt mess it up

Minnie,I did “the trick” earlier today before they shut it down and mine said " your name is not recognized" That is why I am not feeling hopeful…

good luck!!! people got decisions for even the trustee on feb 13th of last year (according to some of my CC research). don’t lose hope, it’s WAY too early to do that!!

My biggest fear is that it’s gonna get lost in the mail or something -.- The anticipation is gonna kill me for the next few weeks.

Wow gratz!! I guess since international people find out via the DHL status, and those in LA have already found out, since they are right next to the school. Does all of California and nearby states come today? I haven’t heard of anyone else at my place yet.

Also, can you track postal mail that might be coming to you? The same thing as with DHL, but with the US Post Office, where it tells you if anything in the mail is for you?

For those who got in…care to share some general stats? =) Either way, gratz!!

For anyone curious - I never had the “forwarded” status as far as I know (I checked my USConnect fairly regularly but not obsessively)!

Has only LA and international come back?

I read on another thread that some in a neigboring county have not heard yet. So perhaps it was L.A. County first???

It’s simple mail guys, it wouldn’t have reached that far yet.

And they don’t email at ALL? What if someone was accepted, but it was lost in the mail? That would be complicated then, especially since USC does not actually tell you straight up that you were denied a scholarship.

i was accepted today! it was a huge surprised:) finalist for presidential scholarship! got it in the snail mail

what do you mean finalist for presidential? does that mean no interview is required or national merit finalist or what?

wow nice. What general area are you in (if you don’t mind saying)?

riceisnicee - an interview and acceptance is always required. “azndakrvader” was selected as a candidate for P/S… All candidates must sign up for, and attend Meet USC, and go through the panel Q&A. Final decisions are not announced until after March.

i’m in the los angeles county. and ya theres an interview in march or something

I heard they release in “waves” does that mean that they arrive at different times, or are the letters actually postmarked on different dates? I think only one person at my school so far has gotten one–does that mean for the rest of us we are done? Seems like it to me. Although most of us did send it in at the day before the deadline, so…but I guess I’m out then.

I got it today. (from Indiana)

^I think the “waves” part means they are actually postmarked on different dates. However, they naturally arrive at different times as well. It is, after all, coming via the mail system.
