USC Transfer 2014 Appeal

@ilovestemcells‌ Hi! I am a girl too! LOL.

In the end I submitted my appeal a page and a half longer then intended, but at least it is in. Now, I wait. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone!! @LAHarbor24‌ your right on, I am putting all my faith in God, I know I will end up where I truly am meant to be, even if it does not end up being USC.

@serena909 I am sure they like to see new test scores, grades and the like, but I say go ahead and appeal with any new and compelling information you might have. The way I look at it is, we all have been rejected, we have literally nothing to lose. What is the worst that could happen? They say no again. Yes it would sting still, but again, we’ve already been told no. While I had some new academic information to provide, my appeal majorly focused on the unique and “prestigious” internships and jobs I have had since submitting my original application. I also spoke a lot about how I have grown from these experiences and new things I’ve learned about myself. Good Luck!

@MarshallBound‌ hows it going? Did you submit your appeal yet?

@Jazz49‌ I keep on saying I will finish the next day, but I just can’t. Most likely I will finish tomorrow for sure. I will keep posted. You submitted yours already?

@LAHarbor24‌ Amen

Amen.
Just remember, circle July 15th on the calendar. That’s the date we should all look out for.

@MarshallBound‌ Yeah, I submitted mine a few nights ago and the next morning I received an email reply from my adviser letting me know that he had “forwarded my statement onto the committee for review.” Though he didn’t specify when I’d be hearing back. Good luck!

Anyone hear back yet? I just submitted mines today and got a response a couple hours ago.

@MarshallBound‌ a decision on your appeal? I sent mine in 6/3 and noticed a change in my restrictions in OASIS on 6/10, but I haven’t been contacted by USC or seen any other change yet. I’ve been reluctant to consider the restrictions change a denial of my appeal until I’ve been contacted by USC, but…

@erickmorales‌ Did you check your STARS Audit Report? Is it blank or updated? Hope you get in man.

@MarshallBound‌ no, the IAR is still blank, which makes me think that the appeal has been rejected, but I’m still waiting on USC to contact me with a letter or something.

Wait @marshallbound you got in? That was fast! Congrats!!!

@erickmorales‌ my restrictions on oasis were updated on 06/19. I submitted my appeal on 06/18, so maybe initially they go in and update your account because you sent in an appeal and they are still making a decision? I don’t know, it could also mean another rejection for me, I just wish they would notify me automatically.

@Jazz49‌ I wish I got in, but to answer your question, I just got an e-mail saying that I will receive a notification of some sort shortly. My restrictions was also updated the day after I sent my appeal in. If my STARS IAR doesn’t update within the next 2 days then I am going to have to assume I got rejected.
Did your STARS IAR update?

@MarshallBound‌ I got an initial response from my counselor saying he had sent my appeal to the committee for review. No my Stars is still blank! :frowning: As of right now I am assuming I have been rejected, so I don’t get my hopes up. Though I have been creeping on past threads and it seems like all transfer appeals, both rejections and acceptances were sent around July 10th-16th. So here’s hoping! @ilovestemcells‌ have you heard anything?

@Jazz49‌ I’m just curious, what time was your restrictions updated?

I submitted my appeal on 06/18 and my restrictions updated at 3:09pm on 06/19. Why? What about you? @MarshallBound‌

@Jazz49 At 4:45 today. hmmmmmmmmm…

@marshallbound what!? What’s your theory??
