@Jazz49 Well, nvm. I’m just going to wait until tomorrow to see if anything changes on my STARS IAR report.

@Marshallbound my stars is still blank, you?

@Jazz49 Either we’re both rejected or its just that the admission officer attached our appeal to our account, which might be the reason why the restrictions updated the next day.

Not to burst anyone’s bubble. However, my Stars report did not update right after I submitted my appeal. I submitted my appeal on 5/31

@MarshallBound yeah, I mean we both received responses from our counselors immediately so it could be that they just went in and attached our appeals.

@LAHarbor24 my stars report did not update either, it’s still blank. When did your restrictions update on oasis?

My restrictions didn’t update either.

Hmmm…@laharbor24 did your counselor email you back after you sent them your appeal?

Yes he did. I got two emails one from him and the other saying they forwarded my email to the appeals committee. The email from him saying that I can hear back mid July.

hmmm…well @LAHarbor24 I am just assuming I am rejected, because technically I am. And now I can no longer log into OASIS so I think I’m rejected. But this could also be due to the fact that when I was talking to the admissions office today I mentioned my oasis account and they might of locked me out of it because I read somewhere that people who have not been admitted aren’t technically suppose to access oasis. @MarshallBound can you still log into oasis?

Hey do not lose faith until you get a decision! Please, we don’t quit!
Quick question to MarshallBound and Jazz did you guys get into other schools?
USC is my last hope. I got rejected to every school I applied to. I had a decent GPA and IGETC and pre Reqs completed. If my appeal doesn’t go through, I don’t know what’s next. I can’t go back to community college since I finished every class I need. God is good though!

@LAHarbor24 I’m trying to keep the faith, but it’s driving me INSANE! lol and yes I fortunately got into every other school I applied to. If my USC appeal is rejected I’ll either be attending the University of Washington or Chapman U this fall. And don’t worry, you could always work this fall and apply to other schools as a spring transfer to start in January?

Congrats on getting into the other schools! However, I’m still having faith that you go to SC! Thanks, bit I’m waiting on USC then I’ll go from there. I haven’t even started to think ahead haha

@Jazz49 No OASIS is just being weird today. I got in and it said my ID was invalid as well.

Oh my gosh! @xsayax thanks for this! I was freaking out thinking I was rejected for sure and they just deleted my Oasis account or something like that. Phewww, thanks again.

@Jazz49 I haven’t heard anything else yet either. I just checked my oasis for the first time since i was rejected because I noticed all of you guys were checking haha. My restrictions changed to 6/16 but I haven’t heard anything else

Has anyone heard (like from a counselor) when we will hear back? I emailed my counselor asking about this, but did not get a reply. I am trying to stay positive but when I read old transfer appeal threads, those who had their restrictions on Oasis updated the day after (or close to) when they submitted their appeal, but their stars audit report did not change within 1-3 days were rejected. I called the admissions office, but all I got was “you should hear back soon.” Also, I wonder if transfer appeal decisions are sent out on a rolling basis, or if acceptances and rejections are sent out all at once; anyone know?

@jazz49 I like the point of view that you wrote your appeal letter on…the appeal should be no more than 1 page and should not be on heartfelt, “soul-searching” desires of why you want to attend, but on clear, concise facts of new information, mostly regarding extra-curriculars

Thanks @plaurance94 are you a transfer applicant that appealed as well?
Oh and guys I got a response from my counselor informing me that they hope to have appeal decisions out by the middle of next week, at the latest. Also, he said not to read to much into Oasis restrictions at all, he is not sure how they are even linked.

@jazz49 yea I am a junior transfer applicant…Have already registered for classes and everything for another University, and am not getting my hopes up for SC…however, would definitely accept if they did offer me admission
