USC Transfer wait = torture

who else is patiently awaiting their mailman everyday only to be dissapointed again and again?

haha. we won't hear for at least another month.

you mean AT MOST another month. most of us will find out by the end of may

not necessarily. check the archives

you are absolutely correct. it is torture. i dont live with my parents, but i gave USC my parents address so that helps me not to think about it. i'd go nuts getting the mail everyday. its comforting to know that other people are just as eager to find out as me.

anyone else have that feeling like they did something wrong in the application process so they just arent gonna send you anything? at least i get that feeling sometimes

If you don't mind, what are your individual GPA's in college? I'm looking to transfer into USC after next year.

GPA at my current institution: 3.74
Transfer GPA: 3.67

transfer gpa like 3.8 something

4.0 but i still feel like USC is going to screw me

though this has been done a thousand times, let's post our other stats. i'm getting anxious.

*Applying to Annenberg for Print Journalism

how do you know which classes are transferable? i know it would be different because usc is a private college.

guitar, usc has an articulation agreement with individual colleges that show what classes are transferable

oh yea, i have that, and should check it out again. thanks.

Hey everyone,

As a transfer who successfully was offered admission last year, I know and remember EXACTLY how everyone was feeling.

If it's of any consolation, (at least you could last year) you could call the admissions office a little before decisions had arrived in the mail and find out your fate, though I don't think they're supposed to tell you directly. For instance, when I called, the person said, "well, technically I'm not allowed to tell you, but let's just say that it looks good." Subsequent screaming ensued from me.

While I'm offering this little bit of advice because I know how much waiting sucks, believe me, getting the decision in the mail is so much better... assuming its good news. USC has, hands down, the coolest admissions package of any school I've seen. Either way, good luck to everyone. I hope to play some ultimate frisbee with all of you on McCarthy Quad sometime this fall.

did you transfer for sophmore or junior year? and did they ask for your spring grades?

also... you said you called and they told you.. do you remember around what day this was (i think it is stil too early now for them to tell us)

what were your stats when you applied and what's your major? to which other schools did you apply and what were the results?

I'm getting more nervous now. . . I'm applying to Thornton and I just found out of this guy that got accepted to Thornton last week . . . I don't think I'm in :-(

i also applyed to thornton for a BS in music industry, whats your major?

also who is the guy that got accepted last week, and how'd you hear about him getting in?

thornton has a bachelor of science program?
