USC Will Mail Freshmen Acceptances on March 27, 2012

OMGosh. Son accepted to School of Cinema Arts!!!

In SoCal–OC. We often get mail a day earlier than others b/c we pick it all up at thr post office (no street delivery on our rural road).

Haven’t opened the packet. Son doesn’t know, yet. He’s not home from school!

i got my rejection today in the mail. ): i live 30 minutes away, but its all good! i got into ucla :D

Congrats gladiatorbird!!

Brother got in! Came in the mail today. We live 20 min away from campus.

in pasadena, california.
nothing in the mail.

hey guys im from brazil and i still havent received the DHL email letting me know that there is a package for me… has any international student received this email already?

All the norcal people - when I got my admission package in January, it was postmarked the 26th and arrived the 28th, so you guys will probably start getting stuff tomorrow!

Im from Costa Rica and nothing…:(((

louchopin, let me know if you receive the email! ill do the same

Another day of waiting…I wonder if it will get to Baltimore by tomorrow, I hope so!!

Accepted!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!

4.39 Weighted GPA
3.5 Unweighted GPA
1980 SAT

Wow ^^^ great job unam
What school did you get into, your stats seem a little low, but that’s great to hear because mine are a little low too!

@unam10fan you just made me feel so much better. It is good to finally see an admit with a SAT score not in the 2000s. Congrats!

SC is not all about numbers. 10fan posted on another forum his/her ECs. We do not see the entire application, counselor recommendations or hurdles overcome.

My son is from India and no news !!!

Dude I am also from Brazil and have not received a DHL it appears only students in China have received it so far. Im not sure if this means that people getting DHL are the ones not posting on college confidential or if this actually means something. Usually International students are the first to know through DHL but it appears that Southern Californian students are hearing about their decisions before everyone else (and some students in China).

As painful as it sounds, I guess we’ll just have to wait till we get the email or till the snail-mail reaches us -_-

Last year, USConnect updated 3 days after the decision letters were mailed out.

The delay is most likely to give time for the mail to reach most US destinations before they update USConnect. If it is like last year, USConnect will update on Friday.

Then, if you see an enrollment deposit box, you will know you are accepted.

Here is the thread from last year…
[When does USC’s RD decisions come out? - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=1099836)

I would caution parents not to make assumptions about what is in the big white envelope. Yes, your child is accepted. It may well NOT be to the program your child applied to, however… especially if they applied to the cinema school LOL… we know someone who got the lovely large packet today but it didn’t include an admission to the school he wanted…

what does it mean to not get a letter. not even a rejection letter?
