USC Will Mail Freshmen Acceptances on March 27, 2012

^ Agreed. I’m only a transfer student, so I probably wont be hearing back for another month or so, but the whole “mail-only” concept just makes everything so much more stressful!!

you might hate it now but in retrospect (in comparison to my grad school apps) i must say that it was much more memorable and gratifying to receive a large envelope in the mail as opposed to getting a pdf attachment in an email or finding out via an online portal.

Wanna hear something funny? Tomorrow happens to be the day the city has chosen to repave my street, so they are closing my street down for all traffic. That means no mailman tomorrow! Looks like I gotta wait an extra day…This sucks!! haha

I just got an email from USC school of theatre for the open house reception, so I was hoping it meant I’m accepted…then I looked at the small print on the bottom of the email and it said “this email does not constitute as admission to the university or the school of theatre.” Such a tease! Lol. I guess I’ll just have to wait until the decision letter comes. Fingers crossed!

Curious, when will California residents receive it? I know they just mailed it out today and US mail is pretty slow, but I’m a California resident and I did not get it in my mail today. I live two hours away from USC as well. I’m guessing (hoping) they delivered it as a letter, which means it’s collected the same time mail is delivered and will take an extra day to deliver.

I literally live 9 min away… Taking the bus home right now…

do you think Arizona residents will get them tomorrow?

Well, kitty, I’m also a BFA acting applicant and received no such e-mail… so you might be in luck!

^most likely

"…the city has chosen to repave my street, so they are closing my street down for all traffic. That means no mailman tomorrow!.."

Do you ever think people just do things to mess with you?

On a related note, I hear left handed people are 27% more likely to receive their acceptance before right handed people. :)

good luck to everyone! i live a little less than thirty minutes away w/o traffic. there was nothing today but ill post if i get anything!!!

You can go to your post office tomorrow and pick up your mail towards the end of the day before 5:00 pm. Just explain to them why you need the USC letter now.

Kittypals my S received the email invite. I think it is a good sign, as actingmom has stated in past that both her D and S received invite and admission. It seems highly unlikely that they would invite you to such an event and then tell you, “We regret to inform you that you have not been chosen.”. :)

Good luck to all of you guys!! USC is an awesome place.

kittypals & cfitzla–good news I think! My S2 received an invitation last year (by mail) to the theater open house. And he was admitted. It would be cruel to invite an applicant to an event at a school they were not admitted to, so I think you are in. Congrats!

Hate to say it, but there is a chance the letters didn’t go in the mail until the very end of the day yesterday – perhaps even after 5pm.

If there is someone who lives outside the US and receives the DHL e-mail, please write it over here!

:) D’s package reached Ventura County today…so happy!!!

Congrats! Can you guys start posting on the stats thread as we are on the east coast so to sort of prepare lol

Congratulations to your daughter!
