UT Transfer chances.

I'm currently attending UNT and want to transfer to UT, be it in the Psychology department or not.

I got a 2070 on my SAT and have 27 hours of AP credit.

I got a 4.0 GPA last year, but admittedly my classes were fairly easy
French
Psychology II
An honors debate course
20th century music

I'm in the honors college here and participate in activities and meetings there, but have little other extra-curricular.

What are my chances of getting into UT, if not in the Psychology college, then at all?

Thank you

Keep that 4.0 and you are 100% in.

Awesome. Thank you.

How much does the transfer essay affect the chances?

The College of Liberal Arts is the easiest college to get into at UT. They focus mostly on GPA and you have a 4.0 so you should do fine regardless of essays.

Wow, I’m in the same situation as you. I’m also an honors student at UNT majoring in Psychology and want to transfer to UT. :)

I am trying to decide to take Cap at UT Tyler or to attend ACC and try to transfer or I could attend UTSA and try to transfer (didn’t get caped at UTSA

Option one:
I haven’t heard of anyone caped at UT Tyler. Anyone attended there as a Cap student? Any input on the school, dorm etc? I wanted to do Cap at UTSA but didn’t make it because I just missed top half of my class. I made a 24 on my ACT. I went and toured the campus and I really didn’t get any sense of campus life or activity.

Option Two
I could live in private dorm and attend ACC Rio Grand Campus, walking distance from dorm but my concern is 1) getting a high enough GPA to transfer 2) feeling a bet like an outsider because I would be living with mostly UT
students and I wouldn’t be able to pledge or attend football games etc. I toured private dorms last weekend . Liked the castillian and Towers…input there?

Option Three:
I was admitted to UTSA (not capped). So I could attend and try to transfer to UT

Any Advice ??
