Her GPA is 3.8. Medical anthropology.
@TTng212 that’s my major as well. Still haven’t heard anything
We are 8 days into June and there have been no notifications this month… to say this is disappointing is the understatement of the century. They say they receive approximately 40,000 applicants for the Autumn quater. If that’s true… each of those applicants paid $80 to apply…meaning the school made 3.2 MILLION dollars off of autumn quater applications alone. Does no one else think that 3.2 million dollars is enough for the school to have adequate staff to give us a timely response on our applications? This is absolutely ridiculous.
@UWtransfer2018 i agree. realistically being an instate CC transfer for CSE i expect i won’t hear back till july lol
some people even heard back late july early august last year if i remember correctly…
Hey guys – I got accepted into UW’s online Integrated Social Sciences program today (I applied to both the online program, the Seattle campus, and the Tacoma campus). Just wanted to pop in with that update as it has the same update time frame as the Seattle campus does (because its technically through the Seattle campus).
Yeah, I saw that last year. That’s so ridiculous, it’s laughable. Does the school think that applicants will attend the school if they find out late July or August?? No, at that point the student has committed elsewhere. By that point in time they have probably registered for classes and made living arrangements at another university. This is a joke.
I applied to Washington State University the last week of January and received and acceptance letter mid March. There is no reason for this extensive delay in notifications.
@UWtransfer2018 i agree. my deposit for other universities are coming up so if i don’t hear back in time oh well i am going to lose interest and go else where
@UWtransfer2018
They actually send out decisions every Friday once a week
I’ve been keeping an eye online and I’ve got a few notifications set up to notify my if anything is updated. I’ve noticed that nearly everyone who posted they got rejected/accepted was on Fridays. Others aren’t sure because they didn’t check on Fridays
@UWtransfer2018 they keep deleting it. Anyway, it’s udub
@UWtransfer2018 I was debating on taking a summer math course just in case I get accepted to UW-S, but it’s getting so late. I already committed to CWU and got really good housing and declare my major/sign up for classes in a couple of weeks. It’s ridiculous how late transfers here back, it’s almost impossible to change your life around in just a few short months. I just don’t think it’s worth at this point. Which is such a shame, because UW is held to a really high standard and it’s becoming less and less of a dream school for me.
@julietjuju3 I’m in the same boat. I just paid $600 to register for Spanish 2 at Seattle Central College for the summer. The class starts 6/25 and if I withdraw before that date, I can get a full refund. I’m thinking if I don’t hear back from UW before 6/25 I’m just going to drop the class. I don’t want to pay $600 to risk receiving a rejection from UW in July or even August.
Info decisions come on “no later than June 15” soooo that means I’ll probably hear back on June 15th. I also applied to UWT and I got their letter all the way back in November I believe. It only took them 4 weeks. But I can’t wait for UW too… It’s like they haven’t even sent any out this week. Like damn
I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM INFO!! I GOT IN!! Funnily enough, I still haven’t gotten the updated thing from UW… My portal still says awaiting decisions but since I got into my major, I know I got in.
@hhopefultransfer Congratulations!
@hhopefultransfer what were your stats?
@tylerphan I’m an OOS transfer. GPA is around 3.6. I had a really strong personal statement and 1pg application though. I’ve been through a lot of stuff and I wrote from the heart which I think made the difference. I’m not a stellar student or anything like that
@hhopefultransfer congrats! Hopefully ill get a response soon!
