@Ritagg How did you request to join the 2015 group? The application process here doesn’t start until January-February 2015. Source:I’m an Egyptian student that applied last year.Gonna apply again this year.

It’s a group for everyone all over the world no only Egyptians, me too, i’ve applied last year, did you pass the activity day? @OmarHussein

Oh you mean the Facebook group.Actually last year I didn’t reach the interview tho I did really good on the exam therefore I believe My Application wasn’t sufficient enough.A friend that got into UWCAD advised me to do some community work as that really adds up to your chances of getting accepted. What about you?
@Ritagg

i sent a message to UWCRCN a while ago regarding their past IB scores and theyve replied. apparently they won’t reveal their scores
but does anyone know which UWC does the best academically, and which sends off the most students to US universities?

Well, last Year i knew about UWC a week before the deadline and i dodn’t have much information about the selection process,i messed up at the exam as i ran out of time,so i decided to ask for advice as i don’t know anyone who got accepted @omarhussein

@racau22 the best academically is LPC UWC in Hong Kong, @Ritagg Good luck this year “Ya rab nt2ebel” :)

Yarab isa maybe we can contact here before the selection, where are from Egypt? @OmarHussein

I’m from Zagazig ,Al -Sharkiyah. What about you? @Ritagg

I’m from cairo @OmarHussein

Pleasure to meet you. @Ritagg

Same here @OmarHussein

hiii I’m from Peru any advice on the selection process??

Before going too far in the application process, I feel that applicants and their families should know that there is a LOT of drinking at some of the UWC’s. This is not something that they wish to advertise, but I feel that it is something that applicants need to know. The code of conduct is misleading. At some UWC’s it is NOT enforced or taken seriously.

@chinagrl Hey so you were asking about whether you should apply through the Canadian or US national commitee. You also mentioned you were trying to get a full scholarship, well I have no idea how competitive the Canadian selection is or how many scholarships they offer, but I know that the US offers about 52 every year thanks to the amazing Shelby Davis. However, (assuming that the Canadian selection process is imilar the the US) if you apply through Canada for Pearson you might have a high chance of getting that college. In the US out of the 52 scholars chosen, 25 of them go to UWC-USA.

And btw, At the moment my top three are Costa Rica, Wales, and South East Asia. If anyone has any information on any pf those schools that would be great!

This is a blog list of previus UWC students. Enjoy!

@student1818 any idea at which uwc is the drinking problem the most serious?

Well I read on someone who attended UWC Atlantic that they were really trying to crack down on the problem, so I assume it might be bad there. Not exactly sure. Probably anywhere the drinking age is 18 or below. For instance at the UWC USA they probably don’t have as bad of a problem because students cannot not legally buy alcohol (drinking age is 21), however in the UK it is 18, so students can legally buy alcohol and then bring it on campus. Hope that helped! @racau22
