Hi guys! I was accepted ED1 and wish you all the best of luck on your decisions. Honestly didn’t think I had a solid chance, 1410 sat/30 act and a 4.05 weighted gpa, but here I am. I talked to someone who got rejected with a 35 act and 4.6 gpa, so grades and test scores only get you so far. On Wednesday, just chill, watch some netflix, and stay off college confidential. My best advice is to not expect to get in, but don’t count yourself out entirely either. Anything’s possible, and everything will be okay

Vanderbilt released some RD decisions today to those who have been invited to the multicultural program. A girl at my school just received her acceptance. This is definitely scary now
What is the multicultural program?
MOSIAC letters also came today for some students. They applied Regular Decision but received letters today letting them know they were accepted and inviting them to Mosaic weekend. Some of them are told about scholarships at the same time, so the #Vandy 2021, may be accurate. It doesnt help those of you still waiting… Best of luck to you all!

No idea, that is what was supposedly included in the admissions decision. Im guessing it is for cultural diversity? This just makes me even more anxious for Wednesday
Mosaic does include minority students, although there are asian students, indian students and white students who get the invitation. From what I understand it can be something in your essay which makes the school think you will be an asset. It is similar to a likely letter at some of the IVY league schools, but it comes as an offer of admission. You can check to vanderbilt Mosaic facebook page for more info.
Just out of curiosity, what are your other choices if vandy doesn’t work out? You’ll probably be able to find me in the Cornell or washu thread. Although I think it is most likely that I end up at upitt haha

Vandy just screwed with me hard. Some kid who applied rd got a scholarship or idk and got in and now I’m getting hundreds of texts and tweets like honestly release them the same day it’s f-ing annoying
