You can roll random with housing or mutually pick a roommate that you find online. So yes, you can start scouting. There’s usually a student-made FB group for roommate searching. Well, there’s pretty much always is for girls anyway, and the guys usually follow suit, or just use the Class of 2017’s group once it’s made.

Cleke03- the letters were in basic white 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 size envelopes mailed in the regular mail. The acceptance letter was obviously thick as it contained about 5 sheets of paper and a gold colored return envelope for the matriculation fee. My son’s did not even seal well because it was so thick…Good Luck to you and all the rest of the applicants!

S found his roommate at an admitted student weekend in the spring. It worked out really well; in fact they will be rooming together again as seniors next year.

Cleke03, actually the gold envelope is inside a white envelope. My daughter waited by the window. On Saturday around 1.30 in the afternoon, Her grandparents who live nearby came over for lunch, as we all four watching ran to the mailbox grabbed the mail from mailman, tore open her letter and saw the gold envelope and started jumping up and down. So, if there is a golden envelope inside your acceptance letter, you are IN. Thanks to CC we knew the importance of gold envelope. GOOD LUCK.

Accepted.

Hi guys,
Does anyone know whether we will receive an email once our matriculation fee is processed??

Did anyone accepted to Vandy ED1 recieve confirmation of the matriculation fee?

My daughter got hers

I still haven’t received confirmation of my matriculation deposit either. I just emailed my admissions counselor so hopefully, I’ll know by Monday.

I was wondering the same thing! I sent mine in a while ago, and they’ve cashed the check but no reply :/

It’s been quite awhile, but I don’t think my D ever got a confirmation regarding her matriculation being paid for early decision. No news is good news. You may not hear anything again until you get the big envelope along with the RD accepted students.

Well they sent an email saying that you should receive a conformation in January…

How hard is it to get rescinded? Like what kind of grades?

Tayloor My admissions counselor emailed me back saying that they did receive it! I would just email your counselor to check, but I’m sure they got it since it was cashed!

Awesome! Thank you for your advice!

Shortly after being accepted ED1 my son received an email that stated, in January he would receive a confirmation of his matriculation fee as well as other information like his Vanderbilt ID number. Has anyone received this information yet? He has not.

My son has not received anything else from Vanderbilt. I do know the check has been cashed. I’m expecting that we will see more once EDII is complete.

My daughter just submitted. We reviewed list of alternative schools if December 15th doesn’t work out. Does anyone know if they are good about sending out letters on time? Is it snail mail or on-line?
