And talha I hope you get in!

If you make one I’ll join!
And I hope you get in too!!

That’s a great idea. I’ll join the fb group. But, thanks talha that is definitely reassuring. Yaaaaaaaaa the girls are amazing! hahaha.

I made the Vanderbilt group! Anyone transfering to Vandy is welcome to join

i’ve never heard of making a facebook group for people who want to transfer… what do u hope to accomplish that isnt taken care of on this thread?

More people access Facebook than this thread. Thus it leads to more potential information about who else is applying, quantitatively, and their stats as well. Its just a bigger window really. However this thread will provide with better answers to more technical questions. Although I don’t think he made the group to get answers its just to meet others who are applying.

^exactly. and putting a face to a screenname is nice, makes it more personalized

So was anyone contacted by Vandy for missing application materials? I feel like I have not gotten anything from the school since I applied

I haven’t gotten anything from them either. But I do know that the 2014 class decisions were mailed out to those kids this morning.

Castiel, you have to contact them yourself to check if any materials are missing. They aren’t as diligent about that with the transfer students. When I applied my senior year in high school, they sent me a yellow postcard in the mail when my application was complete, but they apparently don’t do that for transfer students. Just call the admissions office and you should be set.

Gunther is right. I called a while ago and the secretary lady told me that my app was complete however Im thinking to send in another teacher rec this next week. Hopefully they haven’t judged my app yet so this extra rec can help me out. But yeah they don’t really contact the transfers very much at all your going to kind of just have to be ontop of it.

For some reason they don’t have my college official’s report. Which is weird considering that the rest of my schools have it…

thanks I will call them

I actually sent an email to my regional advisor person, hope they respond on fridays

I emailed my regional advisor once (I think we have the same one Castiel). She never responded.

I suggest calling on Monday.

dang, ok thanks will do. So I just call the admissions office and ask the person if my stuff was received? (btw your from florida?)

No – NYC. Are regional counselors based on school address or home address? If it’s by home address, we have different representatives, but if it’s by school address, then it’s the same representative. Either way, I have the NYC representative.

And yeah, just call and tell the person who picks up that you’re a transfer applicant who was wondering about the status of his application materials. I think missing stuff has to be in by April 5th.

I’m thinking about sending in a second teacher rec. You guys think I still have time/ if I should?
I know she will write positive things for sure. But time is an issue.

talha, I believe you were supposed to have two teacher recs originally…

But the common app just has 1 instructor evaluation, one college advisor, one high school advisor, and 1 midterm report??

And I called to check if my app was complete and the lady said it was complete!?? Unless she was lying or something? I’m like freaking out a little bit now…someone correct me if I’m wrong pleease!!!
