Optimistically:
Accepted Emory, Vanderbilt
Rejected WashU, Tufts, Rice

@somehmonggirl @usualhopeful I think you both have a solid chance at Vandy!
@VaishS maybe if i was a rising sophomore applicant but i wonder if it’ll be harder since i’ll be a rising junior, so i’m not sure
also i changed my icon!!
Realistically:
Vandy: waitlist
Cornell: reject
Northwestern: reject
Unrealistically:
Vandy:accept
Cornell: accept
Northwestern: reject
@ILR2020 you guys are all playing it safe on these predictions and I feel like I overestimated now lolllll
I will say where I am applying, but refuse to chance myself:
UNC: accepted already
U-M Ann Arbor
Vanderbilt
Georgetown
@VaishS basing of the fact you got into northwestern, which has a lower acceptance rate then all the other colleges you predicted that you would get into, you are not overestimating
Realistically:
Vanderbilt: Rejected
USC: Rejected
Cornell: Rejected
Unrealistically:
Vanderbilt: Accepted
USC: Accepted
Cornell: Accepted
^^That’s the dream right there :’)
Accepted to UNC already
Here’s my prediction:
Wesleyan, Hamilton, Vandy, Colgate, Colby -Admit
CMC, Middlebury, Northwestern -Waitlist
Columbia, Cornell -Reject
BTW thanks for answering my question concerning financial aid! As an international applicant I never paid attention to these information- I wasn’t expecting to get any money in the first place lol
This is where I’m applying, but I feel like predicting is bad karma:
Vandy (#1 choice)
Accepted Wake Forest (got accepted on Tuesday)
Washington and Lee
Hopkins
@VaishS You’re already in at NU, right? You can assume pretty high chances after that!
I will say I’d reaaallly like Rice, but I would love any of these. And I’ve got some opportunities here at my current college if transferring doesn’t work out.
@HopefullyIGetIn I’m gonna do that as well.
Vanderbilt
Washington University in St. Louis
Northwestern
@HopefullyIGetIn i was just at U of M this past weekend. lovely town and campus- the students who worked on hosting the conference were amazing. the conference was huge and a great success, and you could tell it was because the students on the executive board and the volunteers were really passionate. too bad it’s still not as good as madison
@Mastodon97 your “realistic” is underestimated
@somehmonggirl Yea, I’m a big fan. Its prolly my 3rd choice, after Georgetown and Vandy. Especially cause its econ is amazing. Not to mention its football team and basketball team. Which are, better then UW :)]
it’s so weird. like I’ve been to vandy and NU and i think they are TOTALLY different schools and yet so many of us applied to both. the vibes are so different but i guess in some ways they could be similar? i only applied to NU because it’s close to home (milwaukee) and my philosophy professed (an alum) REALLY wanted me to apply there. he wrote my letter of rec for NU and Vandy too!
NU had 12% last year for transfers, Penn only has 8% so not realistic xD
Cornell has 18.6% but that’s before accounting for guarantees
Tbh I think all of you will do better than you think <3
@HopefullyIGetIn HA… Good one!
