Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

@lakelester If I’m not mistaken, they can’t hold the fact that the professor has yet to submit a rec against you because it’s more on him/her than it is on you; that being said, you should still contact the prof and get them to submit ASAP

Speaking of rec letters, if a professor submitted one to common app after I submitted my common app, will Vanderbilt still see it?

. Yes, as long as you assigned them to vandy before you applied.

and first wave this week, while not nessarly tomrow, is highly likely. Rember a few weeks ago somebody said the add, missions department said decisions were coming 3rd week of april. Also, the student at vandy reported that admissions department said decisions were coming the 15th. Strong evidence of first waive being this week. However, we really do not know if they will do waives or all at once. I mean, theres no reason they cant do waives untll middle of may. Plenty of schools don’t report decisions until may. So, like @somehmonggirl said, its time to just move on with life and hope for best

@HopefullyIGetIn It will be a wave since they do rolling admission. Based on their past releases, It is mostly likely that waves will continue until mid to end of may.

So everything is leaning towards tomorrow being the start. So what time should we expect the notification?

Previous threads seem to show 2/3PM EST. Any thoughts?

@AGoodFloridian That sounds right, but I think decisions could come later in their working day as well (so maybe until 6pm EST).

@AGoodFloridian in 2015, when they had monday releases, they got their decisions in the morning: Around like 9am to 11 am

So, what we are saying is, resume mad refresh cycles?

@mjr2013 It would appear that way, because we really don’t have many leads to go off of beyond tomorrow being a possible decision release day.

If they do go beyond tomorrow, they will be pretty late for their schedule, since they said mid-april, themselves haha

I am so nervous right now because I know for sure Vandy will reject me tomorrow

my dream will soon be shattered

@ILR2020 Twinsie

@inordie @ILR2020 Have some faith, guys. We’ll be at Vanderbilt in no time.

Do y’all think we can still safely assume that the first wave will be mostly acceptances and waitlists?

@JSPHHAN From the looks of past threads, yes. I think so.

Are there waitlists during the first wave?

@ILR2020 I believe someone mentioned that there are a couple waitlists in the first wave.

From looking at past threads, I don’t think that I saw any waitlist during the first wave. Therefore, if someone receives a decision tomorrow, it is probably going to be an acceptance. Waitlists or rejections are usually released during mid to end of April and early May. Good Luck Everyone!
