@theclassof2013 - apparently that’s that Cornell and UPenn do, and then the actual letter comes a week or so later, then the admissions packet. Come on Vandy, get with the times!

anyone know an estimate of how many will be in the first batch?

yeah william and mary and chapel hill tell you online too and they said the exact day they will tell you too which is so nice. vanderbilts my first choice though hopefully we will all hear sometime next week

Ugh the office is closed. I guess I’ll have to call tomorrow to confirm I’m in the first batch or not.

@Chicago

I called back and asked a similar question, and was told that they couldn’t answer that question.

By the way — remember when we first started this thread? Haha, feels good man.

Thanks ! and I got accepted to Fordham. Not at all my first choice, but definitely glad to hear that I got accepted with housing.

Fantastic! On the application, did you answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question that asked if you would consider an offer without housing? Also, when did you submit your application?

Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to wait it out then…I hate surprises!

i hate waiting!!!

So, April 18th is when they’re sending the letters out, or when people will find the letters in their mailboxes?

Who knows? Lol.
@Wellesleygirl, if you go to Wellesley, why do you want to leave? (Sorry if that comes off abrasively)

@theclassof2013 - I don’t mind at all! It’s not that I don’t like it, I just feel like I would benefit more from a larger university setting.

True. I understand. I feel the same.
@wellesleygirl, if yesterday’s weather (well technically 2 days ago now) is comparable to the weather in TN, I would probably die of happiness.
I go to school in MA, so that’s why I’m referring to the weather.

Yup, it’s awful here from November-April!

@wellesley - I’m assuming it’s when they will be mailed because there’s no way everyone can receive them at the same time. People living in the proximity of Nashville will get them much faster than those in California, New York, etc.

i wonder how long it takes for mail to get from nashville to new york

Probably 3 business days. Give or take a day.

^Yup. I live in Chicago and expect to receive the letter on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

@sarahjojojo: I was wondering the same thing! (I’m from New York as well)

i go to UT knoxville about 170 miles from Nashville, so im hoping tuesday as well
