i failed to mention- if anyone has any questions, i transferred to vandy fall 09. so im not actually in this application pool. hit me up if you want to know anything- id be more than happy to answer your questions!

P.S. hope you all get in because vandy really is an awesome school!!!

^I hope so too. On another note, has anyone taken business calc rather than calc at their current institution? I feel like it’ll hinder my chances because business calc is known to be easier and more than likely won’t transfer. Anyone in a similar predicament?

Please do not hate me for adding to the confusion, but my counselor said the letters were going out this week (possibly already sent out yesterday). So, maybe the 18th is when we should get them by.

Yeah, I emailed him asking him what he meant by the first email. And he said when he said within the week, he meant by this week. And he went on to say he thinks they were mailed out yesterday.

Hopefully April 18th was just the goal to send out some of the letters, and they finished ahead of schedule, so they mailed them out earlier!
Either way, we should know soon

If the first batch of letters are sent on the 18th, then most of us should get a response by Wednesday or Thursday of that week. So, hopefully we’ll only have to wait 6 or 7 more days till we get the news.

I wanted to chime in again. I called today and was told that “most” students would hear a decision by the end of April/beginning of May.

I imagine (this is my own opinion now) that everyone who was complete by March 1st will be in the first batch along with anyone else done around that time, then the subsequent batches by the end of April will cover everyone that was complete by April 11th.

I guess if they were mailed yesterday, then I might know something by either Saturday or Sunday. But eh, who knows, right?

Each time that I called this week (maybe a total of 3-4 times), I was told that decisions would go OUT on the 18th or that they would “be in the mail” on the 18th.

Yeah, and if they do come in, it would be a pleasant surprise. :).

I don’t even think I’ll hear anything until end April, since my admissions counselor is out of the office until the 18th. I was told by another admissions counselor that it is your assigned counselor that looks at your application. If this is true, then I guess I won’t hear anything for a while.
