That is no problem, and I apologize for asking. I can, however, offer you the following information. I hope that it helps, and I pray that your appeal is granted.

The Vanderbilt blog says two things about appeals, the first is:

Appeals

If you wish to appeal a decision, see my previous blog for details. I would like to reiterate that there is no timeline for appeals. You may appeal at any point this admissions cycle and we will return an appeal decision as soon as we can convene a committee and render a decision.

I would also like to reiterate that decision reversals are extraordinarily rare. My Associate Director who is working on her 14th year at OUA says she has only seen a few occur in those 14 years. The reason? We give your file the upmost consideration the first time around. Decisions only change when significant facts of the file change.

The second is:

I received my Early Decision I letter and I would like to appeal the decision, how can I do so?

If you were did not receive admission through our ED I process and wish to appeal the decision you can do so through our formal channels.

First, you write a letter to the Dean of Admissions, Dr. Douglas Christiansen requesting an appeal. In this letter you must include new information that you believe, once considered, may change the decision. We do not dictate what “new information” means; I recommend you talk this over with your guidance counselor at school. After your formal letter arrives, the Dean will chair a committee that reviews both your application with the new information included. The committee makes a final decision and will send you a letter informing you of that decision.

There is no timeline for this process. If you wish to appeal your decision you may do so at any point this admissions cycle. We will review the appeal in a timely manner and return a decision to you in as soon as possible.

Historically, very few appeals result in a favorable decision for the candidate. The reason behind this is that we gave each file a thorough review the first time around. New information included in the appeal would need to significantly change the way we view your file in order for us to change the decision. Once again, I cannot tell you what type of information is “significant”; as with admissions in general, the x-factor varies for each student, so use your discretion.
