I was admitted off the waitlist on 5/3 and haven’t received that email…

I just received a few local scholarships awards. Should I update Vanderbilt? I’m not sure if these are considered real awards and are worthy of an update.

Anybody know if there’s going to be another wave this week?

people were hoping there would be a wave today because it has been 10 days since the last wave and I believe thats what they did last year.

Did admissions ever respond to you about making any more offers?

Saw this post from GT and thought it might comfort those in angst on the Vandy and other waitlists.

All in all, both Vandy and GA Tech are doing a great job in their communications. It is just a weird year.

Thanks for keeping us updated - even if the update is ‘no update’. We really all appreciate it. It is a bit confusing… why’d they ask to re-confirm WL interest?

Here’s the response:

“I do not have additional information on possible waitlist movement at this time. We are monitoring the number of students who have taken us up on our offers of admission to determine if we are able to admit additional students. After May 1, my advice to any student on any waitlist is to get excited about the school they have deposited to – plan to attend and have a wonderful experience there over four years.”

Sounds like they made enough offers to fill the class… There goes any hope I had lol.

Wow :frowning:
That says it all.

Well they also always say that. During the waitlist sessions in April they told us to fall in love with the schools that accepted us

I agree with Neurorocks03. When I sent an update to my admissions counselor just a day or two ago, they replied saying thank you and that they would definitely add the update to my file to be considered when they make more waitlist decisions. That being said, who knows, maybe they actually did fill up the class, so at this point, I’d just try to be positive and not worry about it too much. Good luck to you all!

Good luck to all.

My AO will sometimes respond the same day and sometimes take 1-3 days to respond, I don’t think that’s an indication of you I think it’s just what happens with so many different AOs

Yes! Here is the info (note - if you receive financial aid, outside scholarships will reduce thar aid because Vandy doesn’t stack scholarships). If you receive fin’l aid and any of your scholarships can be paid directly to you by the scholarship organizer, you probably wouldn’t want to report them to Vandy as noted below:
Hello,

Thank you for your email. Please see the mailing address below for outside scholarships.

Mail to:
Office of Student Financial Aid
and Scholarships
PMB 407810
2309 West End Ave.
Nashville, TN 37240-7810

Please send an email to financial_aid@vanderbilt.eduto let us know about the expected outside scholarship so we can list it as anticipated aid on your account. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Emily Tallent
