Just want to start a thread for everyone to share their experiences and timelines with the Vanderbilt waitlist this year.
anyone sent a loci yet
looks like
My daughter just sent hers in yesterday.
Did you guys send it through vanderbilt portal?
it looks like you’re supposed to send it directly to your regional admissions officer
So how does that work if they don’t have an AO for your area? There used to be a placeholder, but now even that is gone.
Updating my post: if you go to the application page in your portal and scroll down, under “Upload Materials” (which is still there), there is an option for “Student Waitlist Update”.
So, I guess if you have an AO, you can email them and upload to the portal. If you dont have an AO, you can just upload.
I asked in the chat box because I do not have an AO listed and they said to upload to the portal.
their website just says that you should send it to the admissions officer. I did do some digging on the internet after reading your message and the consensus seems to be that whether you upload it to the portal or send it to a regional AO, it will end up in your file. Some people do both just because but it is unnecessary.
what kind of things did people put in their locis, also which school are people waitlisted to?
-College of engineering
-What I loved about school
-New award, athletic achievement, community leadership, stuff like that
Bro I literally got an answer from vanderbilt admission officer. They said they wanted to send it through the Vanderbilt portal
Anyone got off the waitlist yet !
it is too early I think
Here’s a possibility, different admissions officers might say different things?
From their official waitlist info website:
TRUE . You are more than welcome to submit new information to your admissions counselor. We do not require this but we understand that some things might have changed since you submitted your application to Vanderbilt. As long as this information is new, we will accept it. This includes updated second semester grades, leadership positions, academic honors, and letters of recommendation.
Waiting is hard. Thank you for this thread! Do we have any idea how many are on the waitlist?
does anyone know how many students they admitted off the waitlist last year?
According to the website below, they admitted 453 off of the waitlist- but I’m honestly not sure how reliable that is
I called them to make it sure. So they clearly stated that if you uploaded ur waitlist update on the portal, you don’t have to send it to A/O
but that’s not for last year. that’s for 2 years ago when COVID started
hey man whatever floats your boat, both work
