<p>PETA makes my blood boil. They said that anyone who cares about animals won’t care about a ban on pitbulls. They want to destroy thousands of lovable dogs. Now, as a vegetarian, animal rights activist (who started an animal right’s club at my old school), and a damn proud momma of a rescued pit bull, I take major offense to that. </p>
<p>They also call pet owners slaveowners. I don’t know about your pets, but my dog lives better than I do.</p>
<p>^ Especially since most dog breeds that are owned as pets have been domesticated due to thousands of years of selective breeding and wouldn’t last 11 days out there…</p>

I should probably clarify that statement, some stand-up comedian (I believe is was Demetri Martin but I’m not 100% sure) pointed out in his jokes that sending flowers is essentially saying “I love you, now watch these beautiful things die.”</p>

<p>i eat meat, but when i go to the states for college, im going to become a vegetarian because meat won’t be slaughtered under the name of God. alot of ppl i know from my religion do eat at fast food chains etc, and i dont want to argue with them or anything. but i personally believe if i can obstain, i should do my best.</p>

<p>i can eat meat from people of the book as well [kosher or meat slaughtered under christian rules] but i think that would be pretty hard to find on a college campus.</p>
<p>^A <em>lot</em> of colleges offer kosher and halal meals.</p>

<p>There are Kosher meals all the time at my college. Not sure about Halal (I have a lot of Jewish friends, but no practicing Muslim friends

<p>Quite a few, I suppose. But I live in a Residential College and all my friends are in my Residential College. It’s just so happens that none of the people in my small class (~100 people) are Muslim. There are some in the year ahead of me, I just don’t know them that well. And there are a few Muslim guys that live below me that I know, but I’ve never eaten with them.</p>
<p>MSU doesn’t have a HUGE Muslim population. Most Muslim people in Michigan go to U of M-Dearborn. Dearborn has the largest Muslim population outside of the Middle East and many Muslim parents won’t let their daughters live at college, so they go to UM-Dearborn and commute. My Residential College is almost all female.</p>
<p>There’s not many practicing Muslims at UMich-AA, but I bet you’d see some a good number at UMich-D. However there are lots of places in AA to get Halal meats.</p>
