Very few CC classes in major?

I want to apply as a transfer student majoring in political science, but I’ve mapped out my schedule (by cross-referencing the pre-reqs of a variety of universities) and by the time I apply (with around 50+ units) I’ll have only taken one political science class. In fulfilling all the different pre reqs, there simply was no space to take a second polysci class. All of my ECs indicate an interest in PolySci (ie: political internship, student government, etc.) Will this be frowned upon? Any feedback is appreciated.

I don’t think this will be much of a problem as long as you get an A in that one political science class. Colleges will understand that you need to get through your general ed core classes (like math, English, history etc.) before getting into your major courses. The only time they would maybe expect you to work on your major courses is if you have general ed exemptions through AP/IB testing or placement exams.
But yeah, don’t worry too much about it and just highlight your ECs in your apps if you’re really concerned.
