Oh and I applied for a poltical science major @VThopeful23

I already got accepted awhile back, but I’m assuming everybody is living off-campus if they get in correct?

pball From experience, I know the admissions office wants to see diversity in course selection. For instance, last year I had a 4.0 gpa but I wasn’t offered admissions because I hadn’t had a science course yet. I would recommend talking to an admissions advisor or better yet, ask to speak to Christopher St. Jean. He can give you a clear answer. Good luck!

@techforever yes hopefully i will be!

@TechForever
Probably not. Any news regarding that aspect?

@pball12 Is there a reason you didn’t take a math or science class?

just got the hokie bird today. I applied last year and got no bird and was rejected but im still a little anxious, im not celebrating until I have conclusive evidence of acceptance.

@hexxcoat Transfers weren’t offered housing last Fall due to space limitations. It all depends, I honestly don’t know how the situation will be this upcoming fall. Did you sign on the transfer house waiting list?

Thank you! I just emailed him, so I will just wait and see!

@TechForever
I don’t even know what that is. So I guess I didn’t.

I was in a math last semester but I had to drop it because my schedule was conflicting with my ability to do work and made me go to sleep late and wake up early which would have negatively impacted my grades :confused: @techforever

@hexxcoat If you’re planning on trying to get on-campus housing, I would suggest signing on ASAP.

@VTHopeful23 What college are you trying to get into? I just checked, and no bird. :frowning: Last semester I had a gpa of a 3.4, and my mid-semester grades I just sent were a 3.8. I worked my butt off to show them I have what it takes, so I hope it paid off. Im trying to get into the Human Development program. I don’t think its as popular as most people try to apply into (engineering, business, etc.) so I hope that works in favor for me.

@pball12 This might be what admissions is discussing as far as your application goes. Admissions favor students who have or are completing the main GenEd requirements(English,Math,Science).
