Virginia Tech Transfer 2013

@techforever well I have a foreign language and I was planning on doing my math and science next semester, my major now only requires one math so I just didn’t take one, and I don’t think that for Political science that math and science are a huge requirement, that’s why I took more classes that fit the political science courses.

@TechForever
Where do I find it?

pball12 If you let them know you’ll be taking those courses in the summer before enrollment, it help!

@mollymcb college of science! if your courses meet the gen ed requirements then i think you’re set! when did you send in all your forms?

@hexxcoat Here is the link [Transfer Students Housing | Application Process | Your Housing & Dining Contract | Housing & Residence Life | DSA | Virginia Tech](http://www.housing.vt.edu/contracts/apply/transfer.php)

@vthopeful I emailed and said I can take any courses online or during the summer!

@TechForever
…can’t find my app ID number. Did we ever get any?

@pball12
Relax. I think you’ll be fine. Sometimes apps get muddled up, but eventually they’ll fix it.
As mine was faster than normal, someone else’s is bound to be slower than normal.

@Hexxcoat- you can email them and ask for it again- I lost mine to initially. It’s kind of hidden in one of the emails they sent when you first sent in your app. They’ll gladly send it again if you provide your full name.

When does the next wave of acceptances come in? The wait is agonizing!

The next wave comes around the 22nd of march I have heard!

Isn’t that for incoming freshman?

@mollymcb

The person who emailed me was Jane Todd, I believe she is the director of undergraduate Admissions. After asking for my mid-sem grades i tried to get as much information out of her as i could like When should I hear back, How should i send my grades, Did my professors need to sign or send anything, and such. She sent me an email back skipping all of my questions and saying to send my grades at the beginning of march. When I sent my Grades I sent a screenshot from my colleges online software to add a bit of legitimacy but I don’t think it was necessary. Also as Im applying for Engineering they automatically put me for Summer Term II but I plan to attend (If I get in) in the Fall. Seeing the grades you sent I wouldn’t doubt you should be accepted.

@JennyK13
Yeah, found it in an email. All done.
Thanks.

Both of our people are assistant directors who specialize in Domicile Support (???) which I think is something about In-State residency or something I dont know haha.

I still think it’s kind of strange we didn’t need any sort of official documentation, but maybe they figure if you lied about your grades and essentially had all bad grades, it would be really hard to bring them up and they could always just take away your acceptance?

I dunno. I’ll never stop worrying about all of this it seems hahaha oh well.

@techforever: I was accepted Feb 1 and applied for housing wait list that same day. They said the won’t give housing until may 15 after freshman have made a decision and if there is space left. You have to accept your offer before they let you know and they are able to only take a couple of hundred transfer students in there housing so its a first come first serve on the wait list.

Woo i hope i hear soon… So anxious

the next wave will be at the end of next week. called in this morning!

I am new to this blog. Can you tell me where to look for the “bird” or maybe the fact that I cannot find it means I do not have it yet…

@VThopeful23 sent in my mid semester grades around 3-10. Checked my app status page and had the bird.

Good luck to everyone!
