Virginia Tech vs. University of Maryland Business

I am currently a freshman Engineer at Virginia Tech. I have decided that Engineering is not for me...so I am in the process of transferring over to Pamplin here at Tech. I did decently well first semester making the Deans list in an engineering curriculum. I applied as a transfer to UMD-College Park for the fall semester 2005 and was wondering which of these two schools would be better for undergraduate business. Is there a considerable difference between these two schools for u-grad business? I am from Maryland and am aquainted with their repuatation as a relatively strong business school. I know these schools arent Ivy league or even "top" schools...but they are respectable in their own right. I would appreciate some feedback--thank you.

Virginia Tech is better.

Are you sure? I thought Robert H. Smith was ranked higer than VT's...pretty sure. hmmm

anymore thoughts?

I'm soon going to the business school at Maryland and from the research I've done, it's supposed to be a very good program. It's on many different top rankings lists such as the Wall Street Journal, US News, etc and as for Virginia Tech, I've never ever seen their school on any list ranking the best business programs. Just my take!
