Hi guys,
I'm visiting the campus this week...what should I definitely see/do (besides the campus tour, which I'm taking)?

If you're not from the area, try to get over to the Farmer's Market. It is a very cool bit of old time LA. Also, CBS is across the street.

The Farmer's Market is now gone.

go to diddy riese! ice cream sandwiches for $1
its in westwood

oh my, when did Farmer's Market go away?

Two Thursdays ago.

Thanks, whyxbotherx...yum, I love ice-cream :)...anything on campus that I should check out?

If you've never experienced the beefy glory of In-N-Out, now is the time!

Nope, I've never been there...is it a West Coast thing? And is there one on/by the campus?

yep, pretty much a CA thing (though i think theres one in AZ or something). it's like 1 block away from diddy riese (theyre like 10-15 min walks from the dorms). so goto in n out for lunch and diddy riese for dessert! :D

Are you coming for Welcome Day or are you coming to visit the campus outside of the program? If you're here for Welcome day, be sure to take a Housing tour (Though, if you're not participating in Welcome Day, you can probably be sneaky and take a housing tour anyway... ;-))

dude, in-n-out is love. there's one on the ucla campus? can we say freshman fifteen?

^ Word. Gotta love In-N-Out.

It's not on campus. It's in Westwood - about a 15 min walk from On-Campus Housing.

good, so you can walk off the calories +_+

Yeah if you don't consider In-N-Out to be the best hamburger you've ever eaten... you're just not human.

:)
"thats what a hamburger's all about"

speaking of getting fat, is it true that you really do get fat while at UCLA?? is there a gym on campus or near that is for UCLA students where we get in for free or what??

If I'm not mistaken, your UCLA pass will let you go to a gym on campus for free.

UCLA pass, is that the bruincard or what is it? and there is a gym on-campus?

yes, the BruinCard will get you into the Wooden Center (the gym) for free.
