How does it work? Do we get absentee ballots from home or should we register as a Colorado resident?

its up to you. since you wil be living in CO, you are allowed to register to vote here, but that will also change your state of residency to here. if you prefer, oyu can keep your current state of residency and vote absentee. i kept FL and vote absentee

you'd still use your voter id card, correct?

Be very careful what state you choose to be a resident of. It may not mean a whole lot right now, but the tax consequences can be pretty important. For instance, if you come from a state that has a high income tax, you might want to officially make your residence somewhere else. Don't know about Colorado income tax, but those of us from Texas (no income tax) would be foolish to change our official residence to Colorado.

Colorado does have a personal income tax...not sure how high. Nevada no tax more money.

lol, yup, but would a Texan resident live down losing their TX "status!" I mean, TEXAS PRIDE YA! Of course I'm kidding, but others are like that!

whoa hornetguy, i thought we agreed: once a "hiller," always a "hiller." it's okay, i know your californian at heart.

lmao. I'm a man of many descents!

tax is why i am FL, that and i like it best and want to return their when i retire.
