<p>hello, i was wondering how competitive it is to get admitted into the math major? i will be applying next year with the following stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.35 W
SAT: 800M 500R 550W (new SAT)
ECs: 6 years umpiring, 2 years badminton, vice president of Interact Club(community service club), created computer club.</p>

<p>white male, California. school doesnt rank.</p>

<p>also, how much does the VTCC help out an applicant?</p>

<p>does anybody know anybody in the math or stats dept that has AIM? my aim sn is waxgoblin. </p>

<p>pretty much what im trying to find out is if they will see my SAT score (for math) and see that i am a good math for their math major, or will they say "good sat or not, his low gpa shows he isnt putting out what he can"...</p>
