Okay I feel really stupid but, I got dropped from a class because I've been sick for two weeks. I will be getting a W. The twist is, I've already did my SIR for UCSD as a winter tag transfer. Will this take away my spot:(? please help...

it’s possible that they rescind their offer of admission. Was it a major or IGETC requirement?
talk to a counselor and call your TAG rep tmrw…

it was a major requirement…

yeah, that’s gonna hurt

;adslkfjas;ldkfjjd:(

talk to a counselor/TAG rep, they’ll tell you your options. Hell it might not even be undo able.

Also, do you know if you have to maintain an overall 3.0 gpa for all institutions?

how can they rescind you admission if you are qualified by TAG? You are still guaranteed I would think, maybe they would put you in pre-major status. It doesnt say anywhere in the TAG agreement that all lower division classes must be completed, but that it is recommended. I see no reason why you would be rescinded, granted you qualified for all other aspects of TAG.

call up a counselor and tell them that you were dropped and let us know what the outcome is. I doubt you will be rescinded unless it was an impacted major.

Called in early this morning but no counselors due to veterans holiday.

Samsizzle: I think you’re right. I’ve done lots and lots of searching on college confidential to see if other people in my situation fared. For the most part people that were in the situation didn’t get rescinded. There were a few people who just straight out said that you’d get rescinded, but I’ll verify on monday morning right after i call them.

Btw my major is Bio (not impacted till fall '10) I dropped Chem 1b. I’m still taking two UC transferable classes.

yeah the people saying you would get rescinded dont know that you are TAG qualified for winter as am I. I dropped plant and animal bio (hated it) and am in the same situation as you. We were not accepted based on major remember that, but on the basis that we met the agreement. I wouldnt worry so much, if anything they can just put you pre-major status, meaning you have to take the prereqs there or something. Call in for sure though and let me know what they say, cause you got me thinking bad things… haha

Okay so I called in and I am in the clear. All you need to do is get 90 units + and 2.0 gpa + in the last term.

yayyyyyy relief…

thank you haha you scared me for a second there (0_0)

see you there!
