@dan92: Thanks!

Would it be a bad idea to send a “I’m still interested, what’s the status on the waitlist” email to your regional officer?

Light…I would be inclined to say at this late stage in the game, it’s probably not a good idea. Princeton seemed pretty emphatic in their correspondence that they only want you sending them info if it truly enhances your file. We’re a mere six days away from closure. I have a feeling an addl email expressing interest won’t have any impact now. (That’s just my two cents though.) Good luck!

Someone said that the last day for Ivy League waiting list is July 1.

I’ve never heard about this before. Can someone confirm? I know Princeton’s is around July 1.

Princeton’s last day for waitlist contact is June 30th… or at least that’s what they keep saying whenever I call heh

Jeez, moving slowly Princeton xP Wonder if I’ll get the LAST call or something. Then I don’t even know *** I’ll do.

Haha.

I just got a letter in the mail saying the class of 2014 is full, so they cannot offer me admission
at least the waitings over, I guess?

this is my first (and probably last) post. i just got the same letter. bummer. i’m going to brown. where are the rest of you going?

DD received the letter today. she is set on Dartmouth and very happy.

I guess I will not be getting the call then? I’m going to Maryland. Sigh… Since I am set on medical school, this was my last chance to attend Princeton.

Samee! Last shot for princeton, as I plan on going to med school (although this may change)
I’m going to harvard , now…but my plan for life was princeton undergrad, harvard grad…oh welll:/

haha just got the 2014-class-is-full letter. Thuglife1, congrats on Harvard!!! I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid. I doubt that my experience at Maryland will change that but we will see…

Yep I got it too. goodbye dreams of getting into an ivy-league school
Oh, and my dad also decided to tell me today that I was rejected from the Duke waiting list a few weeks ago but just didn’t feel like telling me. I was like, thanks, that doesn’t make it better at all -_-

I’m going to swarthmore. hoping for med school at hopkins, harvard or yale…I just hope my med school decisions don’t turn out anything like my undergad ones.

@thuglife1, see you at harvard in the fall :)

best of luck to all of you - i have no doubts you will all be incredibly successful!!!

Still no 2014-class-is-full letter here. Still keeping hope alive. As Yogi Berra said, when the 1973 Mets came back to win the division title after being 9 1/2 games down, “It ain’t over till it’s over.”

Received the letter this morning. 'ts alright, mates.

As a professor at an ivy league medical school, I can tell you that I consider an applicant from Swarthmore more seriously than Princeton and way more seriously than Duke. All are great schools, but Swarthmore has a reputation of being more intellectually rigorous and has actually produced more nobel prize winners on a per capita basis. Don’t worry!

I got the letter today and actually I was happy since I’ll be proudly attending the University of Chicago this fall. woot woot.

Got the letter yesterday. I will be attending Carnegie Mellon for engineering in the fall. I doubt Princeton’s in my future, but I guess it was nice of them to think enough of me to put me on the wait list in the first place.

chibistar - Swarthmore was my number one choice (ED reject here), and it is an amazing school, IMO. I know how hard it is not getting in where you want, but I really hope you enjoy it in the end!

Got the letter yesterday. Not as upset about it since I’ve expected it for a while, but it still kinda hurt. But, on the bright side, I’ll be at Duke in the fall!
