I called them and they told me to email it to a Val Ferraro, and then she fwd it to some other lady, and she fwd it to the vp...It was just a brief message..didn't expect that they would fwd it to the vp. Let me know if you get in...

Oh when I called they told me to email it to Larry Hammons. He then emailed me back and said he forwarded it to the supervisor and then she (I'm assuming his supervisor) emailed me and told me she had forwarded it to the vp and I should hear within a couple weeks. So after you talked to admissions and emailed the lady you didn't hear from them? No updates? I will def keep you updated. Good luck with everything!

hmm so i guess emailing the general admissions department is not the right thing to do? thats where I emailed my short letter. Do you guys suggest resending it to someone else?

Call admissions and see what name they give you to email. It seems that they are assigning people or at least splitting the letters up so that one person doesnt get all of them. Your letter might have been forwarded by someone in admissions already you just didnt get feedback from them.

so i talked to an admissions rep and she said that my email should be directed to the right person even though i sent it to general admissions. this just really sucks we have to wait until after may 1st to hear from them.

Who should I send the letter to? I was just going to send it to their office: admissions@calpoly.edu

Is that where you guys sent it?

Nope. I called admissions and they gave me the name of a person to send it to. But if you send it to the general admissions email it will get forwarded to the right person according to what mwhip07 found out. So either way I guess it doesnt matter. Have you sent your letter you or no?

No, but I plan to send it this week. I guess I'll also call admissions and ask where to send it as well.

sooo what are all your guys' back up schools? whats is there deadline to send your intent to enroll

I applied only to Cal Poly. Im already at a CSU so I figured if I didnt get into Poly, I didnt need to move. Cal Poly has animal science/pre-vet which is exactly what I want to do and at my school im doing Bio/pre-med and so far its been a good program, it just would be amazing to go to Cal Poly and do what I want to do and get all the hands on. But i think all intents to enroll are due by May 1st.

that sounds awesome heathcuel what cal state are you at right now?

can someone pm me their letter so i can see what you guys included in it

anybody hear back from the VP?

are letterd only required for transfer students?

Cal Poly doesn’t actually require you to write a letter, but apparently it’s suppose to increase your chances of getting in. It just sends you up at the top of the list.

Did anyone hear back from the vp yet? They told me I would hear back in 2 weeks, I should hear from them any day now…

The letter from the VP is really nothing special…Pretty much just “you gotten moved up the list”…wait til May 15 to find out if you really got in. Mediocre let me know if you got something different.

are you guys still holding out for cal poly or have you decided to go with another school? im really bummed its still so far away before we know

bvo-I’ll let you know if anything is different from yours.
mwhip-I haven’t heard back from UC’s I applied yet. Do you know your backup?

umm right now either chico state or cal state long beach
