I'm an incoming freshman for Marshall college and I was wondering is it possible to wait-list for all the courses you're planning on taking? Or does the system not allow it and requires you to at least be enrolled in one class?

You can waitlist all

Is there a certain way to do it? Because as of right now i only have HILD7A enrolled and i wish to drop that class to wait-list for CHEM6A but when i try to drop the class it says:

“You may not drop all of your courses at this time via WebReg. You can find more information about withdrawal policies and procedures on this page.
Undergraduates: Complete the Request for Withdrawal form.
Graduate students: Contact your Academic Department or Office of Graduate Studies.”

and then HILD7A is still in my “enrolled classes” section. Help please!

I’m not sure of this, but maybe you need to be enrolled/waitlisted in at least 1 class. Try adding Chem6A first

I received the same warning after trying to drop my Poli10 and waitlisting the same class for a different time. You have to be enrolled to at least one, I think.

You can wait list all of your classes but as soon as you add a class that isn’t full, it enrolls you and will not allow you to drop it. In order to get rid of it, you need to wait until you are enrolled in one of your wait list classes.

Do not count on wait lists unless you are at the #1 to #3 spot. Crashing might sound promising but regardless the discussion sections are capped at their max limit. Especially if you are receiving financial aid, keep in mind that 12 units are required per quarter…so if you are wait listing and have technically less than 12 units…you need to reconsider.

Another wait list question but I don’t want to make a new board, there’s too many similar ones, and my situation is pretty much the same as the one above except:
Someone said that the chem department guaranteed spots in chem 6a if you’re 10 or under on the wait list for a discussion group, is this verified?
Also, what are the chances of being 13 on the MAE 9 wait list? There are 190 spots in the lecture, and because times aren’t determined yet for the lab/discussion thing, the signing up was for the lecture only. Is this top 10% and can I pretty much count on getting in?
