<p>Soooo…just wondering if anyone knows whether Penn has accepted the first wave of waitlistees yet? The wait is killing me…!!!</p>

<p>Probably a bit late, but where would I send a letter of stuff I’ve accomplished since applying? Should I just e-mail it to my regional admissions officer or the actual admissions office itself?</p>

<p>My admissions officer got back to me in an email: they are currently in a “holding pattern” and waiting to see what happens around them. However, she said she knew some peer schools have gone to their waitlist already, and they should know more in a week or two.</p>

<p>I heard back in an email around a week ago and it sounded like they really don’t know anything yet. To me, it seems as if they either aren’t going to the wait list, or if they do, it won’t be many people.</p>
<p>well we know that theyre takin 10-15 for sure from the DP article. Im guessin that bunch is to round off the class and they are sitting around waiting for the “melt” to figure out how big the next waves will be.</p>
<p>They probably want to see how the HYP and other peer institutions’ WL activities are gonna affect their incoming class so they’re just waiting a bit longer for those people who deposited at penn to withdraw so they have a fairly good idea of the number of people they’re gonna pull of WL so they dont have to do it in several waves? just my thoughts! Regardless, i think this yr’s WL is gonna be really tough… And so we’re not gonna hear any news until end of may eh - cant believe how long they’re dragging this on for… good luck guys!</p>
<p>Oh and on the penn application portal page, when i try to log in, it says my account is locked. Is this the same for other ppl waitlisted? Hopefully it just means they’re cleaning things up to get ready for class of 2015… and nothing to do with my already extremely slim chances of getting off the WL

<p>alright then it sounds like our guesses were right. they took their first 15-20 and now theyre waiting around to see who drops out to go to other schools.</p>

<p>my officer also said they will notifying EVERYONE of their status soon So accepted or not,were about to find out.</p>
