just got off the waitlist at wharton good luck guys!

congrats! still no email for me yet, but now Im gonna be paranoid and check it every five seconds Its such a tease to see the email with someone else name on it lol. Well at least I didnt get a rejection email, so Im in the running! Good luck everyone!

Thank you for the encouraging stories, AmbitiousMind07 and happycamper2010.
And congratulations to those of you who have been accepted!

I’m on a similar page with shultzie92.
I still have not received any messages and I, too, am trying to focus on getting ready to attend USP (have been making summer plans with them~), but my fingers are still crossed for UPenn and will continue to be!

At this time of the year, do students usually still to stay in touch with their regional director at Penn?

I talked my regional officer like 2 weeks ago, but I dont nag her or anything lol. But at least now we know that there is waitlist action for both CAS and Wharton! (sorry engineers :P)

does anyone know how long you have to decide whether or not to accept/decline the offer? I just got into MIT as well, so I need some time to weigh both options…

well you should obviously just decline the option lol jk it should probable say something on the acceptance page online. good luck with your choice, its a tough one, but its a pretty darn good problem to be facing lol

haha :P. found it though! exactly 1 week to decide my future?

good luck to everyone here too!

Congratulations, thebaker! ^^
I hope you will be very happy at the college of your choice. :)

@shultzie92: It seems very difficult for me to get in contact with my regional director because he’s always away. xD Sometimes I try to think: should I just sit patiently now and wait, or should I try to call one more time?

Basically, I want to ask things like how the waiting list looks now, and I still haven’t gotten the reply on whether or not they received my additional materials.

I feel like one side of me wants to frantically call them and get in touch (hehe… i feel like being “frantic” is not a good idea…), but the other side of me, just wants to chill like every other senior (well… those not on the waiting list, i think) and just wait (and be strong like one person said: “the waiting list is not for the weak-minded,” right?)

Takes a deep breath ^^

Congratulations to those accepted!
I just want to hear from Penn soon, whether it’s good news or bad. I really hope there will be some activity in the SEAS waitlist as well.

jhua09: I just email mine when I have a question. If she’s away I get a generic message saying that she’ll answer my question when she gets back, but she always gets back to me. Im really happy with my regional officer, but I guess it varies from person to person. I don’t think it’d hurt to ask for an update on the waitlist, just don’t habitually call every day =P

As for additional materials, I sent a letter and Im considering making a copy of my report card when school gets out. (I’ve managed to fend off the senior slide!) lol

@ shultzie92: Yeah, I think I’ll just that. I’ll send him another email to get in touch with him.

That’s great! So that means you’ve been able to not let senioritis get to you, huh?
I have been feeling lazy lately, but without my facebook activated at the moment, I’ve been doing so-so with distractions.

Just recently, I read a really inspirational article on work ethic, so I’m going to try for the last few days of school left! ^^ Hehe~

When you say PSU, are you talking about Penn State University, shultzie92?

We’re all going to have to send our final transcript to Penn and to our second choice school in a few days or weeks, right?

yeah, right now im commited to Penn State, ever though Schreyer Honors College turned me down as a freshman (grr…) not sure about transcripts

Yeah, some programs really surprise me.
There was a program that I applied to before that I thought I had the credentials to get in, but it turned out otherwise…
But on the bright side, it motivated me to seek more help for myself (because the program was a pre-college prep program), so I’m trying to work hard to be as prepared as possible on my own or with other resources I can seek out.

Yeah, I’ll have to check up on the final stuff, too.
I’ll try to get in touch with my school counselor next week.

I heard a few accounts about Wharton’s waiting list moving, but did CAS’s waiting list really move?
thebaker and Stupefy are the only accounts I’ve heard of and they both got into Wharton.

Fingers crossed as always! Hehe~

Can freshmen apply to PSU’s Honors College as sophomores?

Post #100 is from someone who got offf the waitlist into the college I gotta the feeling that acceptances are gonna come in small spurts :/

@jhua09: Yes, there’s a gateway in which freshmen and sophomores can apply to Schreyer. :)

Congrats to those accepted!

Has UPenn sent out any rejection letters to waitlistees yet? Or if I haven’t received any news, should I assume I’ve been placed on the extended waitlist (i.e. I still have a chance of getting in during the second wave)?
