I was just wondering if anyone could tell me my chances of getting into my classes off of the waitlist. I am #1 for CHE 2A and #2 for MAT 21B. The chem course has 25 seats and the math course has 50 seats, which concerns me a little because there aren’t many people in those sections. The math professor is also really good, so I feel like people won’t really want to drop it. So does anyone have any idea of my chances? Thanks.

You have a pretty good chance of getting off the waitlist since you’re pretty high up on the list. And believe it or not, even with really good professors teaching a class, there will still be a few people who end up dropping within the 20-day drop period.

You definitely are in better shape than most others in terms of getting into one of those.

I would feel pretty good if I were you (like 98%) for those classes. The only class I had where everyone showed the first day was a 16 person class that was a bottleneck in the curriculum (everyone in the dept needed it and they never offered enough sections).

I got into the math class, but now I am #0 for the chemistry section. What does that mean? Do I have to get a PTA number or just wait? Thanks
