Waitlist responses

Well.. may 1st has arrived.. and us waitlistees are to get our responses soon enough, so i made this thread for those that get a response...

A;DLSFKLJADF good luck everyone!

-a CAS hopeful

guys don't worry, nyu has such a low matriculation rate. you all probably will be accepted =) just make a plan as to how you will be able to finance your nyu education.

Haha I was going to make a thread. Didn't they find out around may 10 last year?

I really hope that i'll get in but on the other hand i don't want to get my hopes up too high only to get crushed. Well good luck to everyone on the waitlist.

hey coolnyu.. are u being serious or r u just pulling our legs?

i didn't matriculate :) good luck to you all~

re:ilyasaber14
i kid you not-nyu's matriculation rate can be as low as 30% to 40%.

^that's weird. i would think that NYU has a higher matriculation rate b/c it seems like more of a "dream" college, rather than a safety.

Last year the yield rate was 36.7%

http://www.nyu.edu/ir/factbook/2006-2007/traditionalbacc.php

Oh, it's a dream alright. Then the reality of the tuition hits and it's a nightmare. I'd guess the cost plays a role in many decisions against NYU.

countdown to the truth.................

anyone? x_x

a lot of my friends in the school are not attending nyu due to its infamous financial aids. i think they will notify you the status after the 15th of this month.

OH EM GEEEEEEEEEZZZZZ.. I am soo nervous!
good luck everyone (again)! cause we sure need it..

i got rejected tooo.. but i think they are just not looking at the waitlist this year

Sorry to hear that guys..was it through a letter in the mail?

don't they usually tell people they're not accepted after they notify people that are accepted? Well there goes all my hope.
