Best of luck to you PennHunter!

So I got my accpeptance package last week sent out the enrollment postcard the next day. How long do you think it will take for housing info and registration packets to come?

fusiondogg i dont think this is the right thread to ask that question. i mean come on... your asking this to waitlisted students? maybe you can pm mastermargarita...

fusiondogg--soonish, maybe? once they get it and process it, they'll send you the housing stuff priority mail. The registration stuff comes in a separate packet.

hey awsome job...jhu!!!!!! i hope you have a really great college experience and thanks for the tips on my thread.......ps you'll have to tell me if the food is still notoriously atrocious there...haha....i like cooking so decent food is important to me

Lol, I heard the food actually got better--though that's not really saying much for Hopkins, is it?

For those looking for updates about the wait list:

And about the food -- yes it has improved greatly. For statements of that, check out this thread:

I have not been contacted by Johns Hopkins about the waitlist process. I wonder if I can still hope for a spot...?

PM admissionsdaniel, indigoguy.

indigoguy:
We have not finalized wait list decisions. We hope to make final decisions by the end of the month. Updates will be posted to the web site I posted a couple of responses above.

I'm hoping I get off the waitlist.

AdmissionsDaniel:

I was waitlisted list this year for undergraduate admission. Would it be easier to apply for a transfer next year (since I was waitlisted the first time)? I'll definitely keep trying for JHU. But, I was wondering if being a former waitlistee (though there still may be hope) helps at all for transfer admissions?

Calculus:
Freshman and transfer admissions processes and reviews are completely different. Transfer admission is even more selective than freshman admission (~8% acceptance rate this year for transfer, ~24% for freshman).

That a student applied in the past, was denied in the past, was wait listed in the past, or even was admitted in the past has little to do in the transfer admissions review.
