Waitlist success stories

Harvard is very active… 2 kids got in from my school…but sometimes i seriously wonder how they pick these students… some of them are so underqualified…

The Scripps College Admissions Office told me that they aren’t expecting to take anyone off the waiting list, and for now anyways their wait list is inactive.

“For those of u who have lost hope, well, you’ll be fine. I wasn’t waitlisted from Penn State Honors College. I was REJECTED. I sent in multiple updates and showd them how badly I wanted to go there. I got in and will be attending this fall.”

Congrats Sandyrun – I gave up my Schreyer offer for UNC.

I have a feeling that I should send them more stuff but I already have sent them alot more. I need this to be over soon

I heard that Vassar’s active, too and I also heard that Trinity College (CT)'s inactive.

I didnt show any interest for their list, do you know how many they are taking

My friend got into Yale off the waitlist. But I think she would count as international (Puerto Rico).

soulkiller - when did your friend find out about yale?

i’m happy to say that i got off the waitlist for caltech in the past week. on the forum, they say about 10 people or so might get off?

Princeton called me last Friday to tell me I got in! …although I’m sure its because the two admitted from my state both turned down the offer :)

@Mondo going back to what you wrote in post 852…I totally agree it’s comical and we could be seeing activity on these waitlists (probably including the currently inactive ones all through the summer! It is just like a domino effect: as people get accepted at their dream school fromthe waitlist, they turn down their current school which then has to go to the waitlist: this could go on forever. How long will everyone hold out hope for their dream school? Is there a cutoff? Like after you’ve moved into your dorm of the “less desired” college?
